How is Kanter's shot blocking ability?

I rather have mr.leonard. Kanter seems like a bust to me or just another pachulia. Although rockets always want to move up but never happens.

Now we're talking. I'm getting geeked up for the draft, should be fun times leading up to it.

Do we really want a front line of Scola and Kanter with bum knees. I can just see us starting with Patterson and Hayes while those two are both injured at the same time.

I would much rather have Leonard or Biyombo. But I really doubt we are going to get a pick as high as Kanter, Leonard or Biyombo. I am banking on Chris Singleton at 14th.

I think he meant to point us to the result of the last time when we gave up multiple picks to move up for a high potential player. Probably had nothing to do with the personal fate of the person in picture.

He can block shots from what I've seen... rebounding is more of a question mark as I haven't seen as many clips of him in "real game" action defensively.

Excellent news. Kanter is who I'd like to see us draft. Great big men are synonymous with Rockets basketball (the past couple of years being the exception), and Kanter has the potential to become a big time player.

I think it will take a trade with Minny to get it done. Not convinced that Utah or Cleveland will play ball.

both players mentioned are combine studs with high ceilings. nice picks if that's who the rockets are after.

kanter isn't getting passed cleveland at #4 and the rockets don't have what it takes to get the #2 from mini. unless they want to give utah kmart for #3 thats not happening either. forget kanter.

Leonard would be great. quickness and athleticism combined with a 7'3 wingspan and largest hands in the entire draft mean he will be a defensive stopper at small forward. he also has an improved jumper. he could go as high as #5 but i think he is a realistic target depending on which team lands him and if they make good trade partners.

The Rockets are in full tank mode if this is true.

You really think so? I don't know, I have little insight on Kanter, but I think if we can keep our backcourt together and resign Chuck (shipping Scola in the deal), a starting lineup of Kanter, Chuck, Bud, Martin, Lowry looks brilliant. Of course that's all speculative and all the guys I mentioned could be shipped or not retained.

Weren't we in this same exact situation last year having the 14th pick and interested in moving up to get Cousins. I hope this year ends up different....

Please I hope we get Kanter. I don't see him as a bust (unless his knees blow out which no one can control). I hope we can trade up into the top 4 to snag him without giving up either Lowry/Martin/Patterson.

I really hope we get Kanter. Most likely a 2-4 pick, anything we can do to get him I am on board.

Yep, the pr game again. Alot of teams are intersted in moving up, but do you have the balls to do it?

    I would.

Look, the strenght of this draft is not in its top 3 players but rather in the depth during the mid to late first. If you ask me i would rather have Kanter or some combination of Marshon Brooks/Jeremy Tyler/Reggie Jackson/Lucas Nogueria/Dontas Mojuntas/Singelton. I would always take the second option.

Sure they might not pan out.... but kanter is no sure thing either especially with his knees possibly being an injury risk. Some of those players have just as much upside as kanter and although the chance of them panning out is a little lower ...we are rebuilding and we can afford to swing for the fences. I

I think that although we should try to trade into 2012 , this draft offers us an opportunity to swing for the fences multiple times and to hopefully connect on one.

Also i think Morey cant be afraid to reach for a player that he thinks is inferior now but may have a higher ceiling. If he likes Nogueria then take one him 14 and use 23 to grab the next best option ...dont pray for him to fall so that you can pick up some player who can contribute right away but will top out as a role-player.

I really like Moreys scouting ability and hope he can use it to his advantage.

Instead of using Kmart and Scola as chips to move up in this draft, I would use them to accuire young players and picks in 2012, even if they are projected to be mid rounders. Our own first rounder will suffer but we will most likely get a chance to pick a player with true superstar potential.

Rebuiding is gonna suck but i think if we do it right, then it could be done in 2-3 years and we would be alot like OKC ecept that we add our francise player after already picking up other good young players.
