Wait a minute, if he's a millionaire why is he on crack and not powder. Crack is the poor man's cocaine.
And his numbers on the basketball court are a direct reflection of all that too. Odom went from a career year with good efficiency, to falling off a cliff offensively the next year. Decline can come fast and steep, but even for a flake like Odom it seemed a bit much. (And I'm betting that he didnt "all of a sudden" experiment with crack)
I'm gonna go ahead and take responsibility for this when I held up a "Lamar Odom: Nailing 3s on and off the court" sign under the basket when he was still on the Mavs. Dirk and Kidd laughed at the sign in front of Lamar, who looked really dejected.
Michael Scott: An intervention, it's sort of hard to describe but really it's a coming-together-- it's a surprise party! For people, who are-- who have addictions. And you get in their face and you scream at them and you make them feel really badly about themselves. And then they stop.
What's my definition of pain? For me...debilitating back pain or spasms that don't allow me to move. And...it has been to the point that I've actually passed out from the pain. I'm not talking about stomach aches and a stubbed toe...I'm talking about pain that no one's body can handle without anesthesia. My situation is unique though. I was diagnosed with a disease 2 years ago that causes chronic muscle and nerve pain. Thus, I have to take painkillers at night so that, when I a wake up, I'm able to stand or not call 91 because my body is in shock from spasms and nerve pain. I'd imagine that Lamar had some basic basketball-related injuries and was prescribed a painkiller. He probably liked them a bit too much, and when he was finally healed, his doctor took him off. Then, Lamar turned to street drugs to get the same high, and that's why he's in his current situation. Just a theory, but not too far fetched in my opinion... He was an amazing, uncommon talent. His ability to handle the ball, shoot, score, defend and run could have made him one of the best. It looks like he wasn't mentally tough enough to fight the temptations of a life of partying, drugs and self-damaging decisions.
I had a friend that worked at a hotel in San Antonio where the players would stay a few years ago. He said Lamar and 2 other Lakers called up some room service and looked coked out of their minds and had some escorts in the room. So not really a shocker to me.
Now he's missing: After recent reports leaked that Odom has been suffering from a drug problem, it’s now being reported by TMZ that Odom has gone missing and has not contacted friends or family for over 72 hours. Per TMZ: Lamar Odom has vanished and everyone in his life fears the worst — that he’s off somewhere on a drug binge … TMZ has learned. Sources connected to the NBA star tell us people on Lamar’s side, and on the Kardashian side have not been able to find Lamar or contact him for nearly 72 hours — and we’re told the main concern is he’s hiding out while doing crack cocaine. The story, which almost seems too crazy to be true has not seen the Kardashian family dispute the rumors and given Odom’s inability to secure an NBA contract, it seems more and more likely that the validity of the story is gaining steam. Odom reportedly played clean last year with the Los Angeles Clippers though had relapsed during the offseason.

After being dumped by LA and being forced to move to Dallas made Lamar Odom turn to his new best friend, crack cocaine.
He has lost his family, job, and self-respect... now, he has vanished. This is sad on so many levels. He has been battling demons ever since the loss of his son to SIDS in '06. Get well, L.O.
