Is TMZ really less credible than ESPN?

Odom refuses to sign with the lakers. Oh he's a drug user we don't need him anyways.

ESPN is starting to become more like TMZ everyday. But I still wouldn't trust anything come out of TMZ. Thats mostly my personal bias since I just hate every one of those people that work at TMZ.

I've read that he has an addiction to pain killers.

It's no joke...these athletes have horrible injuries and need something more than Advil to alleviate the pain. A doctor hooks them up with Oxy/Vicodin/Diluadid etc...and it's all downhill from there. That is, if they enjoy the high too, too much and focus on the feeling rather than the pain relief.

For those of us that have had significant injuries or pain, we all are told the same things by doctors. Use self-control, and don't take them unless you're in pain.

    Sounds like Lamar lost it...

Very surprising considering he has always made great decisions on the hardwood floor.

I'm sure you're joking lol, and Lamar has always been an impulsive player. Rarely has it paid off. He's cut from the same cloth as Bynum.

    This is rather sad

But your theory about painkillers makes the most sense

And it does happen to all kinds of people.

    :(

Yeah, that makes sense. I had oral surgery and was on Vicodin, and man... I can see how someone could get hooked. It feels great to be on it, and it's not hard to get scripts for it (especially someone with money like Odom).

BTW, anyone else notice that it says this started two years ago? Wouldn't that be around the time he got traded from the Lakers? I remember him being real upset that they tried trading him, maybe he started doing it after that?

Lamar Odom has been deep into crack cocaine for at least 2 years ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Lamar has gone off the rails with drug use ... which is the principal cause of the crisis in his marriage to Khloe Kardashian. As we reported Lamar went to a rehab facility a year ago this month and stayed for 3 weeks before bailing -- and we're told the problem was crack.

Sources say Lamar's crack use was extreme before he went to rehab, but he cleaned up his act during the basketball season that just ended. Sources say shortly after he hung up his jersey, he started again with a bang.

As we reported ... Khloe threw Lamar out of the house a few days ago after he rejected an attempt at an intervention.

It's unclear how Lamar's problem will affect his basketball career.

We made calls to Lamar's reps. So far, no comment.
