Because he is over the hill, and we are still a couple years away to be the contender. By the time we are ready, (Yao & TMac), he would be 40.:D

If Boston was interested in Taylor, I'd do that deal ... Payton could take us to another level for a couple more years ... LaFrentz is playing out of position at the 4, and they could use a shooter, and Taylor would do well in the Eastern Conference, just like Thomas did.

They could package Gugliotta in the deal, and with his expiring contract, if nothing else, we'd have Taylor's contract off the books. Taylor is still young, and would be a good building block for them.

But, if we don't trade Taylor, he might be a valuable asset next year. Just like Cato started looking better toward the end of his contract, Taylor will too. Part of the reason we don't value Taylor at the 4, is because Yao has been so soft, and we need someone to bump and rebound. If Yao started dominating, Taylor would be quite valuable to us, even if off the bench as instant offense. The guy CAN score. But, we need to trade either Howard or Taylor, since they are like clones of one another. I'd rather keep Howard, since he's a more model citizen and consistent player.

If there was ever a time to try to get the Glove, it was this past offseason while he was still a Laker and his stock was at an all-time low. Hell, the Lakers probably would have taken our trade exception for him. That would be something I would consider and even though he is playing alright now, he is NOT worth our 1st round pick nor any hefty package Ainge the Idiot would demand.

If you can find a way to trade Taylor and get McCarty in the deal also, I would do it for sure. The Suns are talking to the Celtics about getting McCarty for a second round pick right now.

I saw that too. Add another 3 point shooter that doesn't rebound or play defense??????????????

    Good move!

Oh well, not the place to discuss.

    I would do it.

    Wesley for Glove.

GP's contract is up this year.

Better if they wanted Mo T.

Never a fan of Payton, he has a really "crappy" attitude. In his prime he was an outstanding talent. Like the Rockets need to get older? Payton is a Strickland in the making, essentially, it's over.

I would trade RStrickland / CWard for GP..

they take 2 crappy players off our hands and we give GP a chance to win a championship.

    *its all about win/win
