im not saying he shouldnt go but my opinion is that they will sign jake the snake to a deal and bring him in to battle with carr for the spot and if nothing else just be his mentor. i believe carr will be better this year rather than last regardless of if he is in houston or not, but do we want carr to be a little bit better or do we want a qb that plays at a wayyy higher level? sage isnt that, the snake isnt that...if we get a new qb besides the snake then it will take another year for him to become entirely knowledgable of kubiaks system. i want playoffs in 07 so i say draft kolb let him develop under carr for a year...meanwhile this season carr will be decent enough to make the playoffs if we stay injury free and our defense continues to improve. then kolb will check in 2008 and take the texans to the next level. but im talkin out of my a**

Texans and playoffs or playoff contending in '07? No way. They're not better than the Colts, Jags or Titans. With their schedule, it look like another long season. 6-10 at best. They're at least 2-3 years IMO from being a wild card team. They just have way too many holes to fill; and that takes time.

Yep, he's way off base with the Javon Walker comments. He's one of the best wide receivers in the league. In no way should he be considered a bust.

    PSHHH.

    I'd take Andre Ware instead.

anything can happen in the nfl...look at the saints...i mean we lost 5 games by less than a touchdown so we could have been 11-5 on just 4 possesions and the titans were 7-3 in games decided by a touchdown or less texans were 3-5. Titans had a little luck on their side enough to make a playoff run. They started of 0-5. Im not saying we are a 11-5 team but we arent as bad as the record shows and the titans arent as good as their record shows. We have just a good a chance as them to make the playoffs next year.

All I can tell you MM is what Bob Allen said and I quote "an anonymous source from within the organization says Carr has the talent but not the heart." In layman's terms, he has star quality just doesn't seem to have a star players desire to compete and to win. It is what it is.

This just confirmation of what we most of us were thinking already since midseason, Carr does not have what it takes to lead this team to the playoffs much less respectability.

Seen our upcoming schedule there Rocket guy? Optimism is great but lets put it this way last years 6-10 if NO improvement turns into 4-12 or maybe 3-13 this year. Frankly at least 8-8 will be somewhat a successful season. That Chargers game could be brutal, VERY brutal! Carr vs Merriman? Shawne may permanently end his career in that game. That guy is freaking scary!
