    Speaking of trades.

Is it impossible to get Sam Cassell for Rafer/Head??

Hmm... I really think we should keep Luther Head. I think that guy is gonna be an important piece of the puzzle for many seasons to come.

And regarding this trade... I think we'd be dumb to make the trade. We need Bonzi as our 6th man. Bonzi is going to be very valuable come playoff time and with him the only teams I really fear are the suns and mavs. I really hope Bonzi stays with us for a couple more seasons. It seems like Bonzi is really starting to get the system and the coach and he's really started looking like the player we thought he could be.

It's not worth it. We need Bonzi's ability to score in the paint and while PJ Brown would fill a need, he's also gonna give us a weak bench offensively.

I don't know if Chicago would even consider it. They're already kinda small. Ben Wallace would scream bloody murder.

P.J. Brown and some of those young players would likely net the Bulls the low post scorer they need. Buckaroo Bonzi isn't on their radar.

PJ Brown gives the rockets nothing they dont already have. I would be disappointed if they made this trade.

the only way i would let bonzi and sura go is if we got pj and thabo.
We all know nothing short of us winning a title or jvg getting fired is going to keep bonzi from opting out next year. The way I see it we might aswell get some young talent if we are going to loose bonzi at the end of the year anyway.

I really do like bonzi but if thabo is on the table with pj i would be all over that or if we could some how steal chris duhon from the bulls. I think we need a solid backup point guard more then we need bonzi.

"the classy Brown, who has the professionalism and length (6-11) at power forward that Van Gundy covets for the stretch run."

Translation: Van Gundy is a sucker for relics.

Forget any trade scenarios that include Bonzi, he's our trump card come playoff time. That's when he's going to want to prove his "value" to any interested teams during the offseason. And anyone who wants to trade away Head is out of their mind, he's very valuable to this team and the best part about him is that he's still a work in progress.

Agreed 100%. I for one don't want to re-live '04-'05 & '05-'06 seasons all over again. It's one thing to be nostalgic with old Rockets players like Cassel, but we need to be forward-thinking more than ever.

This wouldn't be a good move. I agree we could use another c/pf, especially with Yao out, but Mutumbo is playing amazing and the platooning of Howard and Hayes has been more than adequate at power forward. Obviously we're solid at the 2/3 with McGrady, Battier, Bonzi and Snyder. So in my mind, the place we're in more dire need is at point guard. I don't see the Rockets having any urgency to make any moves that don't improve us at the point.

Unless, at this point, they're already looking at it as addition by subtraction? It doesn't seem that way though. Bonzi is getting some play time.

Ditto, here...It would be nice to have Brown down the stretch, but not at the cost of losing Bonzi who I hope we can keep and then sign for a 3 year deal.

No way. Keep Bonzi as he's a nightmare matchup for other guards. We need Bonzi to get by the likes of Spurs, Mav and Sun in the playoff. He can contribute more than PJ assuming he would be in basketball shape by then :D

Sure, Bonzi and Sura have low trade value b/c Bonzi walks after this year. But PJ Brown probably can't even get on the court for us. The Hayes/Howard duo has its weaknesses, but Brown is so old that I doubt he can play much better D than Howard. His jump shot is probably worse, too.

At least Bonzi gives us a different flavor we can mix in. PJ just gives us someone old and mediocre who will steal minutes from Chuck Hayes.

I wouldnt trade Bonzi Wells. He is a legitmate third scoring option with postseason experience and success.

    Nocioni = poor man's Battier...

we dont need Nocioni, we already have 5+ people who can play the SG/SF...

time to get us a PG, maybe this:

Snyder + Head for Hinrich?? even though I like both players, but I would love to have Hinrich running the offense on this team. we would start him and Rafer would be a great back up PG!

maybe Span + Padge + Novak + JL3 for Hinrich?

wait, do the bulls even want to trade Kirk?? :D
