This...Curry didn't get hot until mid 3rd qtr, but now he's back ba-by. I'm not sure what these guys are watching but I guess they needed something to write about after that pathetic blowout.

curry has two rings and was one draymond suspension away from 3 straight... he's earned that right. this notion that the media should just respect harden equally based purely on his regular season accolades and not his glaring post season shortcomings is weird to me. if anyone should be holding harden to a loftier standard it's the fans. we know we have a good enough team to really push and possibly even beat this warriors team, but getting obliterated in a completely non-competitive manner in an important playoff game isn't an anomaly for Harden so i don't know why so many here want to just give him a pass. certainly it isn't all on him but as the leader of this team and this season's mvp it comes with the damn territory.

time to nut up or shut up.

Harden's reputation hinges on whether he can beat the greatest team of all time. Interesting!

I repeat...he is held to such a higher standard than guys like Davis/Kawhi/Durant/etc.and it's because the media LOVES to rip him. All those other guys get a pass.

    The numbers tell Harden's narrative.

    1. By primary defender:

    Faced Iguodala 19 times -- 2 points
    Faced Thompson 17 times -- 2 points
    Faced Curry 16 times -- 9 points
    Faced Looney 4 times -- 2 points
    Faced Durant 3 times -- 3 points
    Faced Bell 3 times -- 2 points
Faced Green twice -- zero points

    2. Only seven made field goals + 4 personal fouls drawn.

It's a short story. The challenge is to be better than the numbers.

Read my post. It starts off by calling harden out.

Read my post. It doesn't say the media should give him equal respect, it says they are going too far.

Read my post. It says curry hasn't had meltdowns in the past, but that he has a great team and coach.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Harden crumbles under the pressure in game 4 and has a game high for turnovers.

No, it has to do with him no showing in important playoff games. If Spurs game 6 wouldn’t have happens this wouldn’t be the narrative

God, I want so badly to be wrong. I want to eat crow with a side of pigeon.

I want Harden to go out and be the MVP tomorrow

Nope, it's the lack of effort, poor basketball choices, and me attitude. I don't mind the Rockets losing to Golden State, but Harden keeps saying "my team". Then his actions are a complete 180 to what he's saying on the podium. Put up or shut up. Show some fight. When they played Golden State 3 years ago in the playoffs, game 2, Harden played like a man possessed. He was by far the best player on the floor. He showed passion, punched the stantion, was frustrated. This is the dude, that needs to show up. Not the one with double digit turnovers, freezing out Chris Paul, diva like mentality, and going to a Travis Scott concert after sh!tting on himself. Yeah we are down 2-1. I remember hoping against hope last year when we were down and eventually disappointed. Some people are blind, but remove the emotions and review the facts. Play through bad calls, quit whining, play defense, go right sometimes, pick up your teammate when their not on point, have common sense to know you're not hitting from the outside and drive.

He also did it against the Warriors in a elimination game. Dude set the record for turnovers (14 or 15). Harden has to break that type of trend.

Did somebody call Harden after game 3? His body language was down.

How the rockets play is all about taking advantage of the math. They didn’t hit shots last game, but whatever. Go out shooting tonight and come back 2-2.

Harden stans want to make the argument that people are “hating” on him for not beating the “best team of all time.”

It’s not that. It’s his piss poor effort and his lazy demeanor and play, including his zero defense. It’s grating.

I’d like to point out that it wasn’t just game 6 last year.

    Let me make a list:

-2012 NBA finals he completely disappeared. Vanishing act.
-2014 playoffs lost to the Blazers in the first round.
-2015 Team came back from elimination with harden on the bench in the semifinals. WCF had a record setting 13 turnover elimination game that sent us home
-2016 season debacle. A team with Harden on it should have never been 8th seed. That was just pathetic.
    -2017 Game 6 WC semifinals

    Conclusion:
This is nothing new. And it doesn’t have to do with “the greatest team of all time.”

    It’s just Harden being Harden.

Chris Paul has to fight through the series, through his minor injury.
