Shut down the best offensive player in the NBA when he's on another one if his unstoppable, record breaking runs...
Well, at least he is right about the Rockets bench, and about Morey not building a strong roster around James Harden and Chris Paul this year. But he is way off on trading James Harden.
Harden's gone otherworldly in this stretch of games …. unlike last year , he has to put up these kinda numbers for the team to win. I think he could take a team of G leaguers to a .500 record , even in the stacked west. He's that damn good offensively. I want to see where they are record wise come the trade deadline …. if Morey's gotten them wing / PF help.
The problem with threads like this is some people have the fortitude of a gnat. Lose some games - fire the coach, owner should step down, best players traded, team shut down, time to tank and so on. Unfortunately the give up immediately (or just laughably early) attitude is becoming commonplace. Multiplayer games on the internet are another example where players are attempting to surrender even before the matches begin - not a joke it happens like 50% of the time.
You hit it exactly on the head. People that post threads like this are just displaying their mental weakness and inability to get past their emotions.
I don't think they should be locked. But they are laughable and the worst threads. They should be allowed to breath so we have a CONSTANT reminder of how IDIOTIC (and knee jerk, and stubborn) some people are on this forum.
Eh , I don't think they are so terrible , they are a reflection of how the team was playing at the time they were created …. they were several games below .500. Now they've strung a few W's together behind Harden's heroics and have climbed back into the playoff picture. The same problems that plagued them while sub .500 plague them today , the difference is that Harden is playing at an otherworldly level and CP3 isn't out there on one leg. We really had no reason to believe they would suddenly play .900 over any stretch as bad as they were earlier on. They hadn't won a game without CP3 prior to this stretch …. that was another reason to assume the worst. Should we have expected undrafted G-Leaguer House to provide such an impact ?! .... or Rivers to come in and fit like a glove out of the gate ?! Or they suddenly win games without CP3 ? Then there's CP3's contract and the future …. how do you add talent when you are capped out ?! I'm glad they turned it around …. but we aren't idiots for thinking they wouldn't after the performances they gave early on.
