it's in both sides' interests to trade him. we can get a king's ransom for harden right now and he'll have a better chance of winning a title in the coming years without all the payroll killing contracts we have. just imagine if we could get fox or tatum for harden right now...
Not that easy. He hired his mom to grow his brand here in this city. They are intertwined. That leaves him focused on the court. His mom or others have to convince him to leave his homers and there are many here. He needs an advisor to tell him where to go.

And I have a hard time believing Morey would let him go over his alive body. I would think Morey would have to step down as Harden was his greatest trade bounty to this day. I have no idea what Morey would do now as the rest of the league has caught up to his 'system'. Harden and Curry are the most efficient shooters/scorers in this league. I doubt Morey can find them every 5 years. Another way is to fully abandon his efficiency based theory.
Hmmm usually I would disagree with knee jerk reactions like this. I just dont like the idea of harden vs the world with this version of our team for 6-8 weeks. We do have one of the shttiest bench and there is no viable pg after cp3. Playing mcw in a long stretch of time is just asking to get sht on. We either find. Suitable back up or tank. I dont want harden to get injured carrying us.
I’m all for tanking if The Tilman gives away floor seats for the rest of the season. CF users get priority of course.
of course morey's never going to get back full value for the mvp in his prime. but let's say for instance NOP bites on the basis that harden is locked up for several seasons while AD will likely just bolt... or perhaps the kings give up fox & bagley... i mean short of alphabet, morey can basically name his price around the league for any young player(s). so he'll still have something to work with plus the draft picks going forward. capela can net him something as well.
We will help another team and Harden contend but what about us? It takes another few years for us to get into contention mode. And I am not even sure Moreyball works so well now. They prolly have to tweak it.
