The Trinity season is one of the single best seasons of any show I can ever remember. Lithgow was amazing. The writing and such was at the strongest point. The ending was shocking and haunting.
I appreciate your response. I agree Dexter has lost some of the lackluster punch after the first few seasons but for me it's still a decent show. I didn't understand why everyone had the need to put in a negative shot however since you said people are curious on how the characters end it makes all the more sense. How ironic is it to put down a show yet still be addicted? Hook, line, and sinker.
I can say I really enjoyed the season opener and has me excited for the rest. Why do you always have to compare to other seasons, especially when there is 8.
I would give it like a 7/10 or so. Fairly slow episode in my opinion but had some interesting moments.
didn't even realize dexter was back, been waiting and anticipating for Breaking Bad final episodes. Guess I can catch up while waiting for next week!
See I actually thought (aside from the final scene), tonight's episode was slow as dirt compared to the last one. Spoiler I mean...unless something comes out of these, which I doubt, I don't give a damn about Quinn or Miller becoming Sergeant. I don't give a damn about Masuka's newfound daughter. I don't give a damn about Elway's sister's cheating husband. All of that is pointless to have in a final season of a show. And the whole "Dexter teaches Zach the code" is just dumb in my opinion. We all already know that if this is what happens, then obviously it's going to somehow go awry and then Dexter is going to have to kill Zach. Like...did we not already see that exact same thing with Miguel Prado back in Season 3? C'mon... It just doesn't seem like the show is coming to some epic ending. And I'm a huge Dexter homer, but man...I'm kinda frustrated at the lack of crazy big moments. Hopefully they can find a way to really finish strong. Having said that...I'm excited about the Hannah McKay return.
you guys do know its almost half way through the season and it hasnt gone anywhere. the season sucks so far seems like every episode is a filler
Agreed. They are stumbling their way to the finish line. At this point, I think either Zack kills Dexter or causes Dexter to get caught.
if dexter gets killed by zack or some bull**** copout ending ill be so pissed. the old dexter would never take some kid under his wing and if he gets caught because of that fk that
There is only one way for this to end. Dex and Deb will have a big reckoning. Dex either dies or Deb dies and Dex goes to prison (my bet is Dex is dead in the end). Either way Dex's secret gets found out by everyone. Keeping secrets has been a central theme in every season, but in this one we are already seeing those secrets unravel. The exciting part is not so much who dies, it's everyone's reaction to the revelation that Dex is a killer. I think that Dr. Vogel is herself a killer, and her game is using other killers to kill each other; she is playing Dex. He will end up killing ker. Or Deb will (probably more interesting).
The writers promised a very satisfying ending. I am hoping they don't disappoint, but the current storyline for this season needs to seriously step it up for that to happen.
I have Time Warner, I hope Dexter puts their executives on the table This is unbelievable that TW blacked out Showtime
Some of you guys are not rational, you can't expect the full season to be an ongoing climax. Did you really expect everything to go nuts from the first episode and then carry on for the rest of the season? Impossible to fill a full season with that.
