Great first episode for the new season. It definitely had some flaws, so it wasn't a truly EPIC first episode like the one Season 7 had, but a very good start nonetheless. That ending scene with Vogel though...OH LAWD
Pretty interesting season premiere. I thought it was more or less served as an epilogue for last season's events, kind of showing what everyone is up to nowadays given the 6 month time jump. The only new plot point I can see really affecting this season's future is Vogel knowing who Dexter is. I wonder how she knows so much about Dexter. My theory is Harry probably consulted her 30 years ago, giving her vague details back then which she has pieced together.
I'm surprised they skipped so far ahead after lageuerta's death. It would have been real shady considering dexter wasn't at batista's party either. It would have put a lot if attention on dexter and I could see that arc being really intense. I think the psych most likely has sessions with dexter when he was young and kept in contact with Harry but I can also see her as adopting Bryan because Harry thought Bryan was too damaged. Regardless it seems real strange for her to show up know considering Dexters been killing for soo long. Could she be a killer as well? Apparently she wants him to hunt a pt down that's killing ppl but as we saw in the preview he had a scar on his occipital area so maybe he escaped her sick research on psychopaths and wants him dead and perhaps plans on dissecting dexter as well. Good episode and looking forward to what Hannah does and how it ends. I'm expecting way too many twists hence my crazy theories.
This is awful. I will not watch a full season of Deb whining and b****ing. Absolutely hated the episode.
Either Deb or Dexter will die... possibly both. Either way we have already been down this road with ppl knowing what dexter really is. Dexter is already losing his damn mind, choking people for cutting him off LOL...
Thought it was a solid start, that last bit with Vogel though was the real bombshell because unlike others who've known about Dexter, Vogel seems to know him inside and out.
i like the idea that harry consulted vogel a while back. i think shes here to turn him around. dexter becomes a good guy in the end with deb or harrison dying.
From the season preview they showed afterward the first episode; Spoiler Vogel seems to want to use Dexter to take someone out, personally I think Vogel may have "created" a serial killer and lost control. Hence her random appearance at Miami Metro and zeroing on Dexter.
