    I've lost a good deal of typing speed since I stopped frequenting internet chat rooms. When I took keyboarding in High School I did around 110wpm and had a terrific nap after I finished typing the daily assignment in the first 15 minutes.
    The downside though, is that when you type that fast and make a typo, you have to go back an entire sentance or more to fix it.

    I do miss the connection with the keyboard I had made. You know, when you stop having to think about how to spell the words or where a key is, and what you are thinking appears on screen. I still have the occasional burst of speed when typing, but it's not nearly as effortless as it was.

    Not the fastest or most accurate, but I get the job done. I'm actually much faster than i thought i was.

    36 WPM with 8 erors...I need to practice! :eek: :eek: :cool:

    Next time i will get 100 WPM with less errors than 8!

    What is considered to be an adequate WPM rate for clerical positions?

    If I remember correctly in our place it is 60 and above.
