I abosolutely love my job!sorry I get to help cancer patients find resources, oppourtunities and options that they never knew existed. It is unbeleivably rewarding!
Like my job, but lacks the upward mobility to the jobs I want more. I am considering moving to a job I don't like as much (I like it , but it requires more traveling to places I don't want to be) to get the experience required for the job I really want.
SEX CAULDRON?!?! I thought they closed that place down?! sorry...had to follow up on Joe Joe's sig...
Of course I love my job. I have a badass boss who happens to be one of my best friends. I get paid to see movies and write about them. I get to deal with really bizarre people who act like internet games are the most important thing in the world, ever. And I get paid nicely.
I like my job. I basically sit in front of a computer all day and post on the clutch bbs....er, review tax calculations . I have a 4 day work week (10 hrs a day/4 days a week) with no nights and no weekends. Any time the stock market is closed, so are we. Decent money, great hours, and absolutely no stress. Works for me. Hopefully in a few years, my band will be working enough for IT to be my real job. I will be able to afford to play fulltime and teach part time and make more money than my current job. That's the goal.
hey buck, id like to go to the cia in ny but i have a house here in sea thats payed for and ive invested alot of time and $ into it and im not willing to move right now. im going to the seattle comm college program. its about $4000 less then the art institute here but ive talked to tons of chefs here and they all say, at least here in seattle, that no one cares which one you went to as long as you can cook. its a 2 year program and im gonna be working part time in an upscale resturant here waiting tables and eventually covering for people in the kitchen once i get some formal training. i cant wait. i plane to open a resturant here in seattle then when thats a success ill open one in austin and spend 6 months in austin and 6 months in seattle. ahhhhh to dream.
Yeah man. I'm headed up a few times between now and then as most of my friends are in Sea-town.. We should hook up and roast one together.. My next trip up north will be Memorial Day weekend. We are actually going to be up at a cabin on Whidbey but it would be cool to meet you at some point when I head back that way in June or July.
Don't really enjoy my job at all, but I guess it pays the bills. Although booking revenue for an oil/gas company might sound like the dream job to most of y'all, it's not for me.
That's awesome, red. One of my goals is to make enough $$$ in the next 10-15 years to help my bro open his own place. I'd love to get some formal training someday, not sure I'd want to work in a kitchen, but I've always loved cooking & there's so much I just don't know. Good luck with it, keep us posted.
I like my job. I am a software engineer/ software security consultant. The work is interesting and I can work from home though I mostly work in the office. Occassionally, I have to get up at 4:30 AM to take th train from Boston to New York to go to a client site but that's a relatively small price to pay.
I don't really like being an apt. locator right now. Guess cuz it's kinda slow. Would love to open my own bar one day.
That's one thing I'd love to do. Either a bar or a club. I hate my job....I'm an insurance adjuster and, like lawyers, everyone hates the insurance company. I'm always fighting with people, contractors, etc. Lots of stress, but I pay the bills, get a free (company) car, 401K, medical/dental/vision. Great benefits, but the job sucks. I can't wait to start doing something else. All the benefits in the world don't matter a damn if you hate getting out of bed in the morning.
Tahts' the thing. Slowly but surely, I noticed I hated going to work. It was different in the beginning. Who knows, I may change my mind in a few weeks, I'm so fickle. But, I would love to open a restaurant or bar. Just need the money.
"Since I started working, every single day has been worse than the day before, so that every day you see me is the worst day of my life.'' As for me though, I'm a gigolo. The pay is good, but work can get tiresome.
well i'm currently a student at UT. it's awesome. i hardly do anything, get to go watch a great football team like 6 times a year, an awesome bball team about 6 times a year, play bball all the time, get lots of sleep, surf cc.net all the friggin time, all while running many a successful fantasy team. they do expect me to take the occasional test and final though. and then in the summer i am a full-time slacker as i have no job and apparently even if i wanted one no one's hiring. and my scholarships actually give me more money than school/apt/food/etc costs so that's nice. basically it's a really good job, but i get fired in one year so i better make the most of it before real life shows up.
I work quietly from home No stairwells or halls to roam Nobody to say, "you can't smoke here" No boss to say, "you work for fear" Motivation is not a factor 5 am, not a distractor I save a lot on oil & petrol But my social life is a little dull Single b**** is doing the books I'd rather clean the kitchen & cook But all in all I'm happy to say I love my work...and the sweet pay Oh, and the answer to your question I create business presentations RR
I'm enjoying my job so far. I'm a systems developer in Austin (database, Web, IT support), and had this job for 9 months. (I graduated from UT a year ago.) My boss is cool, and pretty much everyone at my workplace is friendly. The work is challenging at times, but overall not too bad. New things and challenges pop up almost daily, which helps keep things interesting. Pay is pretty good; I make enough to live comfortably. I work a standard 40 hours per week (with occasional overtime and weekends but that's rare) and can go to work as early as 8am or as late as 11am; it's up to me. I usually go in between 8-9 so I don't have to stay too late. Since I don't deal directly with customers, there's not too much stress.
