Shouldn't Kevin Durant be an elite defender given his size?

That's because he retired nearly 25 years ago.

 

So the best player on the Thunder (whom they rely on heavily to even out Westbrook's shot happy attempts) isn't a lock down defender.. cool story. Pretty sure if they had better offensive players he could probably have more energy to assert on defense. Best offensive player in the game today who isn't the best defender, not really a big surprise there but he's quick enough to guard the occasion 1-3 positions.

 

He can be an all-nba defender.
