Shouldn't fans be happy that we even have an NFL team?

He's just saying that you should be happy to have one when the choices are having one vs. not having one.

If you truly think you'd rather be back in the Arena football days instead of having an NFL franchise.. then that's your prerogative. But I surely agree that I'm happy we have a team.

People have every right to be upset. But so upset that they give up on the team completely and renounce their fan-dom kinda stinks.

No way man. It makes you really smart and cool to say the Texans suck. And if you are beyond cool you will say they suck so much you would support a team from another city because of it. But of course this is really just an excuse for Vince man love.

I dont root for the Texans and its not because of Vince. Yes, now I root for the Titans because of Vince but they are not my favorite team. I've always been a Broncos fan even before the Texans came.

I'm very happy to have a team here. I pay good money one way or another to have this team here and watch them. Do i have a right to be upset about the team and how we are regressing each year. HELL YES

What's the point of this, exactly? Every city that has a pro team should be 'happy' with it and that's it?

It is not unreasonable for a fan to be upset when their team is doing poorly. For you to suggest otherwise makes no sense.

    Meowgi,
the word "PLAYOFFS" is not in the Texans vocabulary.

It is unreasonable to switch to another city's team.

I would agree, though I know people do it. But is this who this thread is directed at? Is this what he means by 'fans'?

Because if not, my point still stands.

I think most people in Houston ARE happy that we have a team, but here now going on five years in existence and we arent even competing much less winning. For four years, the front office made stupid ass decision after stupid ass decision ... screwing us in the backside. We have had golden opportunity situations merely thrown down at our feet, VY we take Mario. Derrick Johnson, DeMarcus Ware or Jammal Brown we take Travis "freakin" Johnson.

It's tough to win much less compete when you keep making the plethora of blunders that has been the Texan front office prior to this year.

C&C Idiot Factory have produced only 2 total draft picks that are stars much less worth a sh*t! In four FREAKIN years!

Smith and Kuby will improve this franchise but, being bereft of talent in so many areas tends to catch up to you in the NFL. Whether they like it or not, basically will have to blow this team up and practically start from scratch including getting rid of that bum behind center that is sucking dollars at a volumetric rate and definitely not earning them.

There a few area HS teams and just about any solid to good team in NCAA is better than the Texans.

I AM a fan of the Texans and I do care and it's because I care that I express my opinion. I'm a passionate fan even though my team right now has no idea what that means. I'm not a sunshine pumper. I'm a realist.

It will get better, but right now watching this team is a case of cruel and unusual punishment. They're BRUTAL!!!

I am happy we have a team I am not happy it has been so badly mismanaged to this point in it's existence, I remember Houston without football and I hope that never happens again because football is a beautiful thing but it just isn't the same without a hometown team to root for.

I hate the Titans, and I hope they burn in hell. Go Texans forever.

That said, I hope David Carr gets cut this week.

I have never used that emoticon, and David Carr gets the honors. Ugh.

The fans of Houston are sick and tired of all the losing. If you count the Oilers years, Houston hasn't had a winning season since 1993! That's a long time for a state where we live, eat, drink and sleep football. The Texans have way too many holes. Texans need a a new QB, RB, entire offenive line and an entirely new defense not counting Ryans. And that's the cold hard truth.

Those folks aren't 'fans' of the Texans. They will clearly tell you as much. So this thread can't be directed at them.

C'mon guys this is football, this isn't basketball. A bottom dweller team can change instantly into playoff team. For example saints and others. So Texans can do it too. You can't quit on a new system (but i have given up on D. Carr). Plus We are also missing our star RB so i do agree. Atleast be glad that we are not raiders and that we have doubled our wins from last season.
