Have you seen the data? Obviously, this is what Morey would use to say confidently that McGrady is the best passing swingman in the NBA even though his assists are practically 1/4 less than Lebron's.

If we can move Battier for a scorer/slasher type player, I'm all for it. Battier's offense is like a pretty girl with short hair. Something's wrong with it.[/QUOTE]

Why do u guys want to move Battier so much? He ALWAYS brings it every night even if hes not making his shots. He's the Rockets Bruce Bowen but what makes the Spurs so successful in having Bruce Bowen start is having scorers back him up(Finley, Ginobili, Brent Barry). If the Rockets had a scorer to back up Battier then this team, in my opnion, is going to win a championship. The Rockets need to trade Luther freakin Head and Loren Woods... Theyre pathetic

I think Yao and McGrady are just asked to do so much for this team.

I mean you can't relay only on 2 players (i don't care how good they are). You have to bring some help, especially offensive help. I'd like to see a trade for a guy who can be a 3rd scorer. Mike Miller would be good, he would have a lot of open looks with Yao and Mac.

    Really?

Because we hit first place in the Western conference with Ming INJURED. And the only struggle we were having was offensively - you'd think if we'd had Ming we would've taken the #1 seed and happily squashed Denver in the first round...

Kind of silly (imo) to say that 'we need more offense' when we had 55 wins and our top scorer injured...

Having said all that, I agree with quickballa - all we need is to add a legit scoring 2/3 off the bench to backup TMac/ Battier and we can probably even handle time with Yao or TMac injured!

Just ditch Luther 'I can't shoot in the playoffs' Head for a 6'6+ guy who can shoot - yeah Mike Miller would be great, but hard to get - I'd take Ricky Davis!

tmac and yao don't get these players wide open as much as you think. you're talking about the impact of someone like shaq in his prime...just look at the record 3 pointers dennis scott, brian shaw and kobe put up...

Ok maybe in season it works but look what happens in playoffs...

Last year, this year this team looked like they were completly out of fuel. We showed we can play well in regular season but who cares if we can't do anything in the playoffs.

I know Yao was injured and probably if we had had Yao we would have won this year's series but.....

I still think we need more offensive power to this team
