They are using the cached authentication on the browser to display a Social Plugin, but under no circumstance will the track that you're there. They have no knowledge, until you comment or click on one of their Social Plugin items. Even then, you will be asked to confirm that you want that particular web site to include your comments, or you can go to your personal wall and delete comments you've made on that site. I don't know about "invasive", but they just use FB's authentication locally but don't track you.

For example, the bottom portion of the main story here: http://www.houstondynamo.com/blog/post/2012/05/23/power-5-center-backs-no-3-geoff-cameron doesn't track you until you comment.

I installed Do Not Track Plus in Chrome. It will stop most tracking and you won't see a lot of those social things like 'like' or 'retweet'.

I understand where your pastor is coming from. Maybe he's just tired of all the fat chicks who think they're hot.

You should email him that if he really liked "**** Fat Girls Who Think They're Hot Say" he would probably enjoy "**** Fat Girls Who Think They're Hot Say Part 2" because it had more nudity.

I use ghostery. Stops a bunch of other stuff like tracking bugs and analytics from running.

Thanks guys. It's not my pastor - I don't go to church - just an old family friend that happens to be a pastor. I've messaged him about it and my Uncle about the Kate Upton vid... it's a bit awkward because I know they'll both be embarrassed, but oh well. I guess they'll learn.
