    My aunt’s brother in law did that when he was drunk. The thing blew up in the middle of the night and half their house burned down. Luckily no one was injured.

    Of course, it was the grill’s fault because that’s how that side of my family and their chosen partner people roll.

    Wait? Y’all don’t just keep one of the burners on all the time?

    Only if theres a pot of grease over it, cause it weighs it down and wont let it float off.

    I thought you only left the oven door open for houses you were blowing up.

    Lol. Back when I was poor right after college I used to, because I had no heat in my apt but the landlord paid for gas, bake a potato with the oven door open

    I always wondered why people would say how dangerous leaving gas burners on for heat was when I literally had the same thing in several old houses sitting on wood floors.

    Man you do you, if that's how you and your SO do things more power to you, but IMO that's some strange ****.

    How the hell do you ground somebody from housework?

    Does she really like housework?

    Yes can you please give me some context?

    It’s a joke.

    Like ‘I’m grounding you to spend a week on vacation!’

    @Xerobull

    I am really not trying belittle you or call you out, I just have never heard of married couples "punishing" each other.

    I have real issues with with disrespect and control and the thought of anyone trying to "punish' me as an adult makes me feel some kind of way.

    We good.

    Thats the whole conundrum. In a solid healthy mature relationship you can’t nor should you have to really ‘punish’ the other person. You work it out, hold them accountable and they understand and hold themselves as accountable.

    But what if you don’t both see it the same way? That’s an interesting conversation.

    But I’ve absolutely been put in the doghouse before. And that was punishment.
