Well this is what the Big Man said about his chance for returning and playing for the Rockets in the Final.

So this poll is meaningless.

Game 7?! You mean Game 4, right before we're done thrashing whatever Eastern Conference team that had the unfortunate circumstance of running into our BUZZSAW.

He should not play anywhere until he is 110 percent...

Every teammate will try to make some garbage time for Yao on the court.

YAO wants to fight for the Rockets in the playoffs more than anybody here, doubt it?
He has no choice, don't let your illusions like"CNT is preventing him from playing for Rockets" blind you my friend, he has no choice but to do the operation!

This will never happen since Yao's recovery takes 4 months.

Now since Yao has undergone a successful surgery, realistically, I doubted
he would be playing if we are in the WCF or NBA final. However, if Yao is running and joining the players in practice waiting for the WCF or NBA final,
Adelman will make that decision. If I am seeing a serious mismatch in the WCF or NBA final especially in the centre position, I would definitely hope
he could come in and help with some PT otherwise let him rest.

If we can make it to the NBA finals without Yao, then we can win it without Yao. No point risking injury if he's not 100%. If he's ready then he's ready. If not, then ill advised to make him play. He wouldn't be game shape anyway. Not that we won't miss him, even if we make it that far without him.

    Get well Yaomeister.

It takes 3-4 months to recover. We have 2 more months in the season and 1st round and 2nd round will take another month or so.

Last year it went from: Mid April - End of June, if Finals are over in the End of June.

I saw WCF = 3 months of Recovery and prob meeting LA or SA, which we will NEED YAO, I say we rush him back for a shot at the title, nothing will happen and worst case he misses extra couple months (I believe).

That's what I think, too. So WCF seems like a good point to return.

While many people expressed disapproval for this concept in this thread, we can see there is a clear majority of people wanting him to take part.

I think ultimately it is up to Yao. He will decide what he wants to do when the time comes. The point of this poll is just to gauge what Rox fans think. That's all.

Absolutely not. The last thing we need to do is rush Yao back and put him in a situation where he could re-injure himself especially since he'll be totally out of it anyway.

    Let the man recover.
