Pavel "tore up" the Italian league to the tune of about 4 ppg.

Yao needs to woory about him about as much as he would about any other guy who can't play now or ever.

From what ive read about Pavel yao just has to worry about him for 10 minutes a game because he cant average more then that. Supposedly he has 10x worst stamina then yao. After 5 minutes of work outs he showed considerable fatigue.

Peter John Ramos is not a legitmate 7'3''. He's 7'1.75" without shoes, 7'3.25" with shoes. source That an inch and quarter difference between 7'1.75'' and 7'3'' is gigantic in the world of basketball.

In basketball, the dividing line is 7'3''. Under 7'3', there are tons of those types of 7 footers out there. There is nothing really special about that kind of height. Those players need to rely on their skills to survive in the NBA.

However, there is a dramatic decrease in the numbers of basketball players in the world if you go over that line. That means, if you are 7'3'' or taller, your height alone, plus some skills, can make you survive in the NBA for a while. Because, based on that height, you can be a decent rebounder and shot-blocker.

However, if you are 7'3'' or taller and have some real skills, then you are truly special. Yao Ming is an extremely rare but perfect example of that case. A guy that tall with a soft touch, scoring and passing ability is a once in a decade kind of player. So, Rockets fans, feel lucky to have him and enjoy him while you can.

Ramos? Only time can tell if he's any good, but height alone won't make him special.

Yao was able to beat up on Bradley b/c he's a light weight. Pavel on the other hand has Yao's height as well as similar weight (~300 lbs).

Pavel is only 260, the same as Bradley. Did you see the draft footage? He's really thin, especially his lower body. He's nothing to worry about.

If Pavel stood a chance at being even a starting center in the league he'd have gone a lot higher than 21. Then he gets drafted at 21 and traded away from the Utah Jazz who don't even have a center locked into contract. Greg Ostertag is a free agent and is talking to other teams. It was believed he was heading to Dallas before Shaq became available. Anyway, if Utah doesn't even want him how in hell could he be a threat to Yao? 4ppg in the european league? good god.

Yao shouldn't worry about anything but himself.

There are reasons why Yao Ming was one of the most sought after big-men ever and why you've never heard of these 2 other guys.

Well, thats probably because we're nuts about basketball. Most people don't know any players out of this draft except Okafor.

Yao should not worry about this guy, though he might elicit a response from B-Bob.
