What if someone said, "Well, I used to rape and dismember women all the time. But I'm changing. Now I do it far less often, and sometimes I don't actually even dismember them all the way. So clearly you shouldn't send me to prison, because I'm changing and doing it at a reasonable pace." I don’t think that would be an acceptable train of logic to most people.

I am judging China based on the situation in the country at the moment. I say bad things about my country when they fail to live up to a basic standard for conduct. I do the same for China. I will not pretend that the r****ded kid is really smart to boost his self esteem. There is no grade scale based on effort, only results, as in life.

As long as they throw dissidents in jail and force political education classes on monks, how good they are relative to the past is irrelevant. They are still doing nasty things and I feel compelled to point them out. These things are evil to me, mass scale government equivalents of rape. They viscerally upset me, in the same way as when I hear about a rape. To me it is like a rapist claiming he is cutting way back on the rapes. He may be better but any rape is too much.

I think we should trade him for Dwight Howard. Howard seems like he loves freedom. I'm not sure. I like Yao. Tough...

He is not a rapist. He supports a gov't that are rapists, figuratively speaking. So, he supports raping women, figuratively speaking.

You are talking about Tibetan exiles, right? Bravo! Finally, you are standing up and tell them it's not acceptable, for ex-slave-owners to waive a freedom or democracy flag to pretend their past never happened. Meanwhile, it's also unacceptable for Dalai Lama, the leader of those ex-salve-owners under CIA payroll until 72', failed in rebellion, and actively organized further attempts to break out from China, now "changed" and claims he wants peaceful solution, so his past is non-exist any more.

I will save those well documented links for you about those sex slaves, eye gauge tools, slave skin made drums, slave bonds made hones etc, which were provided many times in similar threads. You have proven that your google skills are pretty strong.

But as someone else already pointed out, Dwight Howard plays for Team USA and America likes to torture people in secret prisons. Therefore Dwight Howard supports torture. So we'd be trading a supporter of torture for a supporter of torture. It is a tough decision.

Trade Yao Ming for Dalai please! He can shoot from anywhere (probably even from Tibet) without using any physical force!

I hope Yao can one day play for Team USA. Maybe after we invade China. We won't invade with bombs and guns, but with hugs and kisses. We are going to cuddle our way to a better tomorrow.

We love you, China. We just want what's best for you.

i don't know man. if you invade with hugs and kisses, people are going to freak out. chinese people don't like hugs and kisses with strangers, especially when they look and sound different. i think a wave of americans with open arms and big lips walking towards china would bring a war.
