If they shut down Harden then I would be surprised if they could win a game LOL. He's gotta play like superman the last few seasons for the team to win.

Give Harrell, K.J. Dekker, DMo, Capela all the minutes they can handle. Get experience and tank naturally. Get their lottery 1st round pick, and re-set the roster this summer.

That's the impression I'm getting. We'll be damned if we give Denver our pick.

    1) OKC missed because their stars had injuries
    2) They didn't need to rely on adding a star in free agency

Too upset to give any damn rationale for a hard call.

Just like OKC, the Rockets need to add a Kevin Durant type talent to their roster. In fact, Kevin Durant himself will do just fine. :)

The Rockets better start losing as many games as possible. There's still a risk of getting in as the 8th seed if Utah struggles down the stretch. And if they go out of their way to lose games, they could not only keep their pick, but move up in the lottery.

And just like OKC, adding Durant doesn't even put you over GSW and SAS.

Rockets need talents playing off the ball, scoring and defending.

    Sounds right to me.

the tank is in full effect. Teams dont give up 130 routinely with a group of focused players. Half the guys wont be with the team next year. Other half is plagued with alot of ego. Yuck.

Yep. "Tanking" implies not trying your best to win. This team has gotten every opportunity to show something, anything resembling some sort of will to win, and failed.

I think tanking is the right choice but I feel like this team will just barely squeeze into the playoffs and get swept by the Warriors.

    I am generally Any Tanking
I am ok if we miss the playoffs cause we keep out 1st round draft pick
That said . .. I have an issue with the fact that it could be DEKKER 2.0

    We need an impact player
    Not a project

Need to tank and give minutes to McDaniels, Harrell, Capela and Dekker. Play D-Mo as much as possible, make him take 4-5 threes a game, see if we've got something there or not.

Take it easy on Howard, Beverley, Ariza and Harden, save some mileage.

Teach Brewer how to bring fresh towels, he needs to earn that salary.
