Should we look to Jeremy Lin to be our closer as opposed to James Harden?

At least I know he will show in the playoffs,right? Actually with harden and howard,even moreso. That's another thread though

 

Who ever is in there killer instinct shoud be on the court closing time.

 

I think so,e of you guys are confused in saying the coaching staff doesn't use Lin right and wants to bring him down. If anything it's the exact opposite, the numbers don't lie. Last season Jeremy Lin was going to the the starting pg for this team no matter what because their was no expectations for the team even after the harden trade. Now fast forward to what we know happened last year and the addition of Dwight theirs high championship expectations. I think the coaching staff always new Lin was a gamer and could be this type of player if given the confidence to straight gun it.

Jermey Lin is a smart player and even smarter person. He knows he's not a better basketball player the James harden. So he deflected to much last yr. now this year the coaching staff tells him we need you to come off The bench and be aggressive and look for your shot and guess what that's exactly what's happening and he's having a career defining yr if he keeps it up, which I think he can because he has the role he needs and that's a scorer. James hardens such a good player you can run your offense around him and this lets Lin in all actuality play sg which is his natural position.

Th coaching staff to me have done a wonderful job developing players. They have Lin playing with confidence and being aggressive and this comes from the coaches.

 

If Harden had Lin's exact game from tonight vs the Sixers, this is what the I-love-Lin-so-I-have-to-hate-on-Harden crowd would focus on:

4th QTR: played the last 10:23, scored 0 points, 0-2 from the field, 3 turnovers, guy he was guarding scored 13 points. Not the numbers of a "closer".

[I don't think that's fair to Lin for tonight's game, but that's the type of donkus stuff that gets posted about Harden constantly, and the poll results here demonstrate that]

Anyone who voted "Yes, Harden makes me soften." should be kicked off this site. Is this idiocy going to happen every time Lin has a good game? Also as stated, he disappeared in the 4th. This board is crazy.

 

McHale makes the call tonight. He won't give Lin the last shot even Harden's out.

 

Harden is a way better basketball player and he's the superstar. He will get the ball when it is time to close the game. Lin on the other hand went cold when we had close the game out. Lin is a good ROLE PLAYER not a player who can win the game for you.

Yes. Winners usually get their bad performance in certain areas overlooked (not just Jlin). And when the team loses, that's when people start blaming the bad stats. It's just how we work. We accept the win easily, but we criticize when they lose.

 

Really...??? Harden has closed out plenty of games... Jermey was great last night but he didn't close it out... Didn't close out the big game he had against San Antonio either. But why not just have them both on the floor...??? Last night showed that Harden's defense isn't the primary reason the Rockets lose games (the defense was worst without him). Unless the coaches can coach these guys up defensively _ just have to try to outscore teams for the most part..

 

Of course... Just like Harden's turnovers don't get overlooked when they lose... Especially by the only fans of Lin...
