Trade the veterans for future picks and play the youngsters, that should have been the plan the minute Yao's latest injury was diagnosed.

Getting Dwight is like a 10% chance (it's certainly not high, but he's got links to here), but if we did get him, championships would follow as we'd grab others.

But if we failed, it's really only 1 year lost, and the rebuild through the draft has a less than 5% chance of producing a championship mind you so....

haha, A man can dream, right~~~~

Hey, who's to say that D-Will to Houston can't happen?

You reach for the moon, and you'll land on the stars..I'll gladly take Kyle Irving if we can't get D-Will

Miami wasn't built in one day, no? ;)

And nope, I didn't get rookified because of that. And how is that an "offense" exactly? Maybe you should think and be logical before you post ;)

Yep. If there is a chance, you go for it.

Lowry/Martin/Budinger/Scola/Miller isn't going to win us a championship nor is it going to give up a top 10 pick. So what's there to lose? ^^

Did we learn nothing from the Summer of Lebron? What happened to most of the teams who made aggressive moves to get Lebron? They ended up with players like Amare, Fleton, Boozer - clear second class citizens in the NBA spectrum. Clearing cap room and future development to land not just one big fish(in their prime) but several is a fools errand. Before the Heat did it there was no precedent....and no Garnet/Allen/Pierce was not the same thing because that move was made with those guys already out of their prime who were just looking for a ring like Peyton/Malone joining Shaq and Kobe or Pippen and Barkley joining Clyde and Dream.

And which of the teams that pursued Lebron is currently in a worse position than us going forward? NJ who will probably get another top 3 pick this year?

    Fixed.

Ok, first of all, I get your concerns. Fair enough, I expected some posters might say what you've said.

But think of it this way---You have this current team of borderline all stars together with a bunch of role players. None of these guys playing regularly have any upside left and the ones with upside are not getting any minutes because everyone is so worried about sweating out everything to get 42 wins for that 9th seed in the lottery playoffs. Is this going to lead us anywhere?

Clear house, get rid of Brooks, Scola, Miller, Battier, at the trade deadline and get a top 10 pick. We still have time to lose enough games to get a top 8 pick seeing how we are in the West and losses are way easier to come by than wins. Then we get a good prospect and develop him.

If we hit a homerun with our free agency plan, then great.

If we don't? Then at least we'll have a Derrick Favors to develop.

I advocate a Brooks + Scola for Favors trade.

 If it was worth it I could make a poll asking Rockets fan if they would be offended/disgusted by a fellow owning and wearing an Utah Jazz jersey, I bet at least 75% of them would find it so.

Dream all you want, even if I find them as illusory as mexican soap-operas, I don't want to continue being your downer.

    lol, haha okay then~~

But what's wrong with wearing a Deron Williams jersey? If that caused so much uproar, man, you gotta appreciate talent when you see it. Deron Williams is special. You should make a poll to see if anyone would say no to Deron Williams just because he has played for the Jazz?

I'm sure most of us can make a very special exception with Deron. :p

But wearing a Jazz jersey? That's a stretch.

================BTW JUST like to mention: hey its not my fault I love D-Will and he plays for the Utah Jazz :p

so its a lot more about WILLIAMS than it is about Utah . lol

I'll burn my Utah Jazz jersey and go out and buy a Houston Rockets Deron Williams jersey the day he signs here

No way, we haven't been able to sign a key free agent yet. Why put ourselves on a situation to not have any players worth a flip.
