We should wait and see the 2nd round, and then make a decision. Since we want to be a team like LAL, that series will tell us a lot about what we really need.
If I could have it my way I would trade T-mac and Cook or maybe Brooks and resign Artest and Wafer. Then I would sign Bibby or trade for Nash as starting PG, sign Pechulia as back up Center, and sign either Ben Gordon or try to trade for Richard Jefferson. Some may disagree with those pics but if you actually watch the games those players are in they all play with heart and hustle and that is what Artest brought to this team and we should really build on that. Lowry is a hustle player which is why I picked him over Brooks even though I do think Brooks is a bit more experienced.
After winning the first NBA title with Paul Westhead, Magic Johnson got him fired and went on winning 4 more with another head coach. That said, I like Kyle Lowry, and to a slightly lesser degree, Brooks, if the kid listens and learns.
Let's win an NBA Championship this year, and keep this team together as long as we can. Even if we don't win it all, I like Brooks and Lowry. I think it's possible they will mature and improve to a great PG tandem over the next ten years-- think Tony Parker with the Spurs.
he's 33, kind of old, but he's good so far according to NBA: and he's definitely available, he has problem with coach, skipped the final meeting... I say we go for him.
Some good wing free agents this summer which could help us are Rip Hamilton Al Harrington Danny Granger Kobe Bryant Shawn Marion Jamal Crawford Hedo Turkoglu Obviously Kobe will resign with the Lakers to keep his legacy. Jamal Crawford is very possible. Best case scenario is offering Danny Granger more money than the Pacers can match.
lol that's the guy who is getting crossed over to the ground all season, by Rose, last night by Alston~
i think everybodys so used to the offseason already being here that they forgot what happened last night
Not really. If he is out for a year we can appeal to the NBA and salary cap and lux tax relief. This is why I hope they just let it play out without a trade. If he sucks and is washed up, lock him out, if he has come back strong and can still ball, then bonus.
I honestly think the big difference between us and the Lakers right now is the long, explosive scorer and I think Shawn Marion would be a good fit because he wont demand the ball yet get all the loose balls. If not him then I agree Bibby or trading for Nash would be a nice piece to finish off the rotation. Jefferson wants out of Milwaukee and Rip Hamilton is gone from Detroit so both could be interesting to think about.
Rip Hamilton will be a PERFECT fit in our system. But Danny Granger here would be a dream come true too, as long as he doesn't ballhog. I believe Morey can work another magic if he decides that T-mac won't be part of the team next season. And I hope he doesn't think T-mac will ! Man, we are a team playing with a -21m salary now. We just can get better next season.
Seeing that Pistons will look to rebuild, I'd say that Rip Hamilton is not as much a pipe dream as I first thought. They would love T-Mac's contract. I was wondering, do they have a back up center that we could take in a deal? If we trade T-Mac's juicy contract, we MUST get a solid backup C in the process. My other thought was to work out a deal with the Bucks that includes Gadzuric. I assume that Jefferson wouldn't be a good player for our system. What else could we get from then that isn't ludacris (redd).
