LOL that's what the Rokets should have did on opening night against the Lakers instead of going for the tie.
Well since the thread title is what it is, if you're campaigning for him, you don't boo him at all... I was just trying to think of an option...if that's an option you think is pussyfied...then cool. If most Rockets fans want him...and at the same time if most Rocket fans think he's not thinking of Houston...a chant of some sort, will definitely make him think about Houston. Either every time he touches the ball and/or at the free-throw line. And I agree...which is what I posted originally...beat them of course
This whole closer thing is so freakin' overrated its driving me insane. If Melo was really such a great closer how come the Nuggets don't win every game they play? In fact he got out closered by Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Wade and Lebron even if they're all making the same salary. Personally I think Iguadala is much better than Melo. Talent-wise Melo has a higher ceiling, but if you look at total production Iggy is better in nearly every aspect of the game-from defense, playmaking and 3 pt shooting. Melo's probably better at rebounding and scoring in the paint, but we have Yao and Scola already in the paint and that slight edge in rebounding isn't worth having a thug on the team.
Overrated? No. There really is such a thing as a closer and being clutch. That doesn't mean you're going to win every game.
the debate can end here, send out word to all free agents. wonder what the subset of free agents whose teams "win every game they play" looks like? get 'er done, Morey?
"Should we campaign for Carmelo on Saturday?" Anyone that requires a campaign to come to Houston has bad character. What assumption have I made?
