Addressing C > Addressing PG. That's it. Period.

Yao definitely needs to do what you are saying, but Brooks needs to pass the ball better as well.As a scorer,Brooks is doing very well. Aaron can get away against Fisher and Blake, but he will need to work hard to get better against athletic perimeter defenders in order to get to the next level.

Does "win-now" = gut the team?

If anything, the young guys have proved that they can actually compete and win now without Yao and Tmac. We should keep Brooks. He obviously has the natural talent to excel in this league. The court leadership will come.

If the Spurs traded away a young Tony Parker for a solid veteran like Derek Fisher (at the time), they would have regretted it immensely.

We do not need a new point guard.

    Kyle Lowry should not start.

We've invested in Brooks, and he's turned out quite nicely in only his second year. There has been an article mentioning him in the same breath as Rose/Rondo. Unless he takes a step backwards next season, I see no reason to change him now.

All I see is potential, yet all you see is him at his ceiling. His ceiling is being a consistent offensive force that he's shown he can be. If he can be like that night in and night out, he will be a premiere point guard in this league (a la Tony Parker). Consistency comes with maturity and maturity comes with play time. I am definitely willing to see what he becomes next season; he's on the ground running at the moment, and he runs really fast.
