It's more than just injuries, it's how he handled the situation. The way he toyed with the team last year kinda burnt my last bridge. In and out of the lineup and waiting til tip off before he decided if he would play or not. Then when he decided to play he would walk off the court and go to the locker room and have the team in limbo. Then you go find Stephen A Smith, not the coach or the owner and you make a big time decission like ending your season to have surgery that you previously said you were not going to get. It's more than just the injuries.
ESPN doesn't allow embedding, so here is the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=291213028 Nothing really serious. With all the talk of suspension, I was expecting a lot worst. I doubt the NBA suspends Ariza for that. Probably a fine, but suspension is unlikely I think.

He should be suspended for a couple of games for that..... He has a history too, with the tossing of Fernandez last year. DD
wow i didn't see the start of the game b/c i was asleep, but that was a dirty play. he had "intention" and if he did connect, that could have been brutal. it will definitely deserve more than a one game suspension. anything lighter, ariza should thank stern personally.
yeah. he was literally inches away from connecting with the back of demar's head, wtf was he thinking? shots to the back of the head are illegal even in the UFC. that's how serious that **** is.
Well I think if he says he wants to then sure. But we all know Adelman won't play him right now. As for Ariza, if he would have connected on that we might have had a fight between teams. And everyone on our roster has that nice guy image so it might have not been good. I think Tmac has been in a couple of small scuffles, tackling Bobby Jackson. But besides that?
No we don't need him, it is a one or two game suspension, what happens when Ariza can play again, switch our line up again? I think when we bring McGrady back, it is important both he and Ariza are on the floor at the same time, because they will need to learn how to work together if they are going to progress through the rest of the season. Bring McGrady back to play one or two games with Shane, he is likely to fall into old habits and we know how hard those are to break. Also if he isn't back to 98-100%, we are going to have issues both offensively and defensively working him back into the rotation.
For the last time, Ariza was making a play on the ball and happened to head Rudy's head with the Rudy Fernandez incident.
Mid-level exception players do not have high expectations by anyone who knows anything about basketball. He was always viewed as a nice complimentary wing that had the potential of taking his game up another level, or two. If we signed him for $60 million, then yes, he has been disappointing, but at his salary he has been fine.
If you watched Keith Jone's video along with the other doctor you'd understand that it was because of his injuries. He didn't know how to handle them. Last year took the toll.
When is Tracy McGrady going to play? At this point...it's a little ridiculous how unprofessional the Rockets' brass is becoming. Make an official announcement like any other PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION would. When is T-Mac going to play???
I can't believe Ariza did that. What a freakin' idiot! He lost the ball on a good play by DeRozen and completely loses his cool. He could have really injured the guy. It wouldn't surprise me if he's out more than one game. It could have easily been incredibly ugly. BTW, I liked how Scola came over and got in front of Ariza, nudging him off the court, instead of milling around with the other players. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Just no excuse for that.
I doubt McGrady will be rushed back no matter how many games Ariza misses. The Rockets have been adamant about keeping to their time schedule and that won't change now, even if it means suffering through a minor losing streak.
