how is he playing better than he was in LA? if anything he was at his best in LA being a spot up shoter and focusing on defense. now he's looking bad. i highly doubt if this were a contract year any team would be offering ariza the MLE.

Give Jermaine Taylor as much room and shots in this offense, and he will be as good as Trevor. I agree. He has looked decend (at best) so far

I didn't say he was playing better, i said his game has improved since he was in L.A....but the improvement is minimal. And he is DEFINITELY worth the MLE. 6 mil a year for him is a good bargain.

Except Taylor's defense has been sub-par at best from the minutes we've seen him.
You guys are ridiculous. Of course Ariza's not going to perform as well when the offense is focusing on him and not Kobe or Gasol. Today was bad for him and all the wings, but these things happen. As long as he plays good defense and gets steals, I'll be fine with him.
As far as I can tell, everyone's ragging solely on him and not Chase (who had some really bonehead plays and did not play good defense today for once) or Brooks because he lost it and got frustrated. That's it.

Let his ass play so yall can shut up already. Won't be long before the same people crying for him to play start b****ing and complaining on how he's jacking up shots, how he doesn't move without the ball, and how he doesn't play defense. You can fix the knee but you can't fix his habits. So let his ass play.

I quit watching any live games till T-Mac returns.

Yao maybe a better ball handler than Ariza. Pathetic. I knew he wouldn't fit in properly without someone else to take the burden off him. I can't wait to see what T-Mac has in his arsenal.

He has a bunch of quit in his arsenal. Once he returns and his jumpers not falling and he can't beat his man off the dribble watch his ass start favoring his knee or his back since he haven't used his back spasm excuse in awhile or he may even blame it on his personal demons.

Practice videos show that he has gained his speed back. So I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you're infatuated with Ariza still.

We talking about practice? practice? If he improved so much why is he still riding the pine? I guess the fans know more than the coaches from watching some YouTube clip.

Unless McGrady is 98-100%, I don't want him on the court. And I actually am a McGrady supporter.

He has to play at some point and what better time then when a key player is injured.

I really can careless how much he has improved, or how good of a person he is the way he acted in the last year or so he can go. Like Brooks said in the interview on Nbatv theirs no one player bigger than the team.

Because speed isn't everything. He needs to be explosive. What does explosive mean? Speed and power combined. Once hes able to finish and elevate without hesitation, he'll be in.

I really don't see the need to play him he's clearly not in the teams future plans. Why not let this current group experience winning and losing together. Ariza can't get better riding the pine. He's only 24 let him grow as a player.

Ariza will never develop the good ball handling skills. Its not a skill you can develop easily. The good ball handlers came into the league with that skill.

I'm not a tmac hater, I was excited to have him like all the rest of the Rocket fans. It's like being in a marriage you love your wife she/he might be a good person but if they continue to do things to lose your trust you want out of the relationship. As a fan when is that breaking point? How many more times will we give him a pass? Throughout his 5 years here we've done nothing but make excuses for him and give him passes.

Injury isn't something you have absolute control over. He was frustrated that he was never able to achieve anything with those injury sparks. I'm a T-Mac fan, and I say also that his days in Houston are coming to a close. I'd prefer if he tries his luck somewhere else since Houston is cursed with injuries.

We play TMac only when he's ready, no matter what. It's better for TMac himself and Rox both.
If indeed Ariza gets suspended, then use Chase or JT.
