YOF at full force. Seriously, is this the best you could do, b/c no one is taking your comment to heart.
i agree, look at ginobli, he is an allstar and he has no problem coming of the bench, i think it would work out excelent. It would create an extra little nat for the opposing coach/team to deal with. plus it reduces his minutes a bit and maybe he wont feel so much presure to score out of nowhere. I loke it alot and i hope tracy can deal with it and adelmen can do it.... i think it would really help the mentality of this team to see their star take one for the team.... our confidence s rising already, this would be great. sadly i dont think t will happen, but i can only hope.
Tracy coming off the bench and having much energy as possibleto be the powerhouse in the fourth qtr. is essential to the rocket's plan. Yao and the team should carry the first three qtrs and Tracy should really start to make his serous impact on the game starting in the third qtr. Only now that we have enough depth of quatity role players is this possible.
i'll bite. its NOT a good idea. its fine for now, as its obvious tmac is not 100%, but there is a reason why your best players start, even if its only half of the first Q. Plus TMAC has been known to slack off when he can get away with it. I think coach needs to force the issue with him, and let him know he cant be the highest paid player and keep a low profile.
I wouldn't want Tracy to play more than 35 minutes a night given his injury history. Coming off the bench would allow him to do that and still play the majority of the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter is when you want TMac on the quarter because he is our closer. So I say yes, let Tracy continue to come off the bench, as long as he is OK with it.
Ridiculous question with only one possible answer: no. There's plenty of reasons he should start and not one why not.
No way, he is too valuable.....I want him in the starting lineup to build chemistry and to help the team get off to fast starts. DD
in the playoffs, the starters of other teams play 35-40 mins a game. and the other team's 2-3 best players play around 40 mins a game anyways. so u want tmac to stay on the bench and not build chemistry with the starting unit? without tmac to start games, all we do is post up yao and there is a lot of stagnation. with tmac and scola in the starting unit, we can run some tmac and scola pick and rolls to get scola some shots.
I say yes only if we start Scola or Landry over Hayes, otherwise there just isn't enough offense to start the game. I liked our ball movement when he was on the IR, so I hope we can start every game moving the ball like that (probably after establishing Yao first). Then Tmac can come in for a change of pace. It be good for him to get off to fast starts too since he be playing against the opponents second tier team. This way, hopefully we'll see more drives to the hoop rather than off-balanced 20 footers with 20 seconds on the shot clock.
It does, but we did that when Tmac was out, and after Yao gets established and sucks in the defense, the others start attacking. I guess it's not really about establishing Yao as much as it is about the distorting the defense so the other 4 rockets have an advantage.
Unique situation, you don't bench Kobe, Melo, AI....the key components of your team. Simple question, who would you rather have driving down the middle, Rafer or Tmac? Case closed ! DD
Keep the current system as is until T-Mac gets to be 100%. I think he likes it and is getting to play with the second unit and giving them confidence by being out there with them. T-Mac does make them better and is trusting them to hit the shots he creates for them.
