this reminds me of the 1984 thread... didn't they discourage babies in the book?

having said that i wouldn't mind a one child policy as long as the people making this policy the parents and not the government.

It's not about living conditions now. It's about sustainability for the future. The global environment is seriously strained and the root cause is an excess of one particular species. 150 years is too long.

    war against drugs
    war against poverty
    war against crime
    war against Iraq
    war against children

Well, we've failed in our other wars, maybe the government could get this one right.

Orwell just rolled in his grave. :(

If I didn't misunderstood what you tried to say, that is one of the most outrageous posts I have seen on this board.

Really. I can't believe it hasn't gotten more responses. I asked on the first page if this was a serious post or not and I am still waiting on a reply.

I just rolled on past it and made a mental note that I am now a supporter of the 0-child policy for ignorant gun-nut rednecks.

its an interesting idea. there is a serious problem of poverty families having excess kids and even purposely having kids to get more govt handouts. A lot of people have kids that shouldnt and thats only going to continue into future generations of stupid people.

how about the 23 year old at the checkout line with 3 bebe's kids and one in the oven...put the dick down girl!

Did you see Idiocracy? That was the premise of the movie -- the country got dumber and dumber because stupid people have more kids.

There are alot of poor people and alot of wealthy people that shouldn't have kids (the lady with the kid at the tanning salon for one).

    no i havent seen it.

you are right, the rich r****ds arent much better either, but at least they can pay for themselves.

but i completely agree. the more dumb and uneducated people have kids the greater their population grows. In a democracy, majority rules. Eventually (and we may be there now) the stupid people will outnumber the smart ones. Stupid people rule the country.

so you think its ok for someone to have multiple kids, no strong family system, relying on handouts to sustain themself and yet still continue having kids?

you know...maybe its not a good idea to have kids if you cant support them yourself. Do people need help? sure. Do people make mistakes and have kids? yup. BUt after the 3rd or 4th and after the constant handouts yet no improvement in life...give me a break. stop screwing. be responsible.
