^ I think the Lions are just giving him a workout at this point -- hopefully the Texas will talk him into coming down for a try out.
I'm a bit perplexed over the whole Rudi Johnson fallout thing. He came into camp in supposedly excellent shape, he's only 28-years-old and judging by his numbers over the past few years is still very good. I understand there were some contributing factors to his fallout in Cincinnati but he's twice the player Chris Perry is. Hopefully, the Bengals suffer from this move and a team like the Texans or whoever can benefit from his signing.
Yep, the Lions signed him right after the workout -- they think he will quickly take the starters job from Kevin Smith.
dang, rudi was signed by lions http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d80a6cf8c&template=with-video&confirm=true and o'neal was signed by pats was hoping we could take a look at both of them
I heard on the radio that Rudi refused to restructure his contract. Cincy likes Chris Perry and didn't want to pay Rudi the large contract anymore. Oh well, I would have liked him here in Houston. Although, he isn't a very good receiving back and doesn't have breakaway speed.
