Guys can you please stop with this Bol Bol nonsense? He is not worth the hype. Theres a reason why he doesn't get much playtime. I wouldn't want to find out why after he comes to Houston.
JVG once said you want guys that "bend" the court (e.g. players that force other teams to adjust what they do). He was talking about Yao. Bol ain't Yao but he seems like he could develop into a player that forces other teams to change their schemes. If you have to double team Bol, that changes everything. At 7'2", Bol clearly alters how teams attack the rim. Defensive positioning is just coaching and practice. He'll get it. He's a risk but would be cool to trade Wall for him but I'm sure salaries don't match. Maybe they can figure out a 3-way w/ Simmons.
Bol Bol is relying on his talent and athleticism. He doesn't work hard. That's what I've heard about him.
So Christian Wood, but with athleticism? Sounds like an improvement to me. Does he sulk and refuse to pass the ball? If not we're good.
Huh? CW has some question marks, but athleticism ain't one of them. At 6'10", he can reliably dribble the length of the floor and finish at the rim with authority. He's no Yannis but that's that not an insult.
He dribbles at snail's pace and slows down the entir offense when he does that. It's not a strength dribbling downcourt after a rebound if the defense has had time to set up, make a sandwich, have a nap and a shower then be ready once the ball finally arrives. As far as big men go he can only power over players half a foot shorter than he is, hardly what I'd call an athletic big at all.
I respectfully disagree with you there. You may not like his style, I totally get that. ..but knocking his athleticism? Naw.
