No. Getting Karl Malone is not a good idea.

Why?
1. Malone won't be coming here anyway
2. Don't think he has much left
3. Won't be cheap
4. He's obesses with scoring record
5. He doesn't have the leadership we want
6. Without Stockton or a good PG, Karl is not much use

If Karl came here for a couple of years, and helped us win a title, would we retire his number like we did Drexler's?

wow! I can't believe how serious this issue has become!! if someone asked this same question here just a year ago, he'd probably have got kicked out the BBS. but apparently, people are starting to argue that we should.

Karl Malone would be a great addition to this current Rocket Team. He is savvy around the basket and can produce low post scoring. He has a fade away jumper, which is difficult to stop. I haven't even mentioned his elbo’s, which is his most dangerous weapon.

Seriously, Malone, has taken his team to 2 consecutive NBA finals against the greatest player of all time. Ladies and gentlemen we are talking about a future legend of the game here who has taken the UTAH Jazz to the playoffs every year he has been playing in the NBA.

I will not pass judgment to those who do not want Malone playing for the Rockets but I have to wonder why? Are you afraid that we might make it to the playoffs? That the young talent could learn from Malone? Or is the idea that although Malone might be just what the Rockets need but your hate for the man is justification enough to not want him on this team?
