The likelihood of that is pretty strong. There have been rumblings for quite a while during the regular season that OKC isn't sold on SGA. SGA is also tired of losing. Presti can do anything. I believe he has complete control.

I just looked at nbadraftroom. They have Ivey going to the Rockets at 3. It was interesting to read that Ivey may be a target for a trade up according to them. Banchero was going to the Kings at 4 in their latest mock draft.

Will Houston offer Ivey and and the 17th ( Eason, Beauchamp or Dieng) for Chet at 2?

Oh no, you had me warming up to the idea of Banchero/Ivey

    Ivey
    Green (Thrilla)
    Porter
    Banchero
    Sengun

Once the good teams destroy the defense of Banchero-Sengun because
neither is a good interior defender while slacking off on popping out to
challenge the 3-pt shooters well enough.

    Then we jump to:
    Ivey
    Thrilla
    Porter
    Kenyon or Garuba
    Banchero

You can only get by with one laterally quickness challenged player at a time imo.

But Chet and Ivey would be nicer as Chet compliments Sengun better.

I don't think so, it's just me, but I think teams/GM's truly fear Chet being able to
hold up physically for an 82 game season and picking him top 2. Now #3 and later
    is a more understandable, imo.

But if Chet goes one or two then I was wrong; if he goes past two.....then the
teams question taking him so high due to body frame. I had Chet with Jabari 1a
and 1b but have since dropped Chet to #3.

Jabari #1 and Ivey #2 now. Banchero #4 pick

We may not need to offer anyone to move up to #2 for Chet

It was a long shot, the possibility that he was a bona-fide 2nd or 3rd option was greater than SGA becoming a superstar.

Thunder need to dump some draft capital too - they have more picks than they can conceivably use.

not true at all, especially fresh off a max extension less than a year ago. "rumblings" on cf's by randoms dont exactly qualify as some legitimate news.

Exactly. They aren't moving SGA. He's a key part of the rebuild and he legitimately wants to be there. No reason (rationally) to make a move. People can convince themselves of anything on here though.

Joel Embiid can’t hold up for an 82 game season. They do a ridiculous amount of load management on him and he still ends up with injuries. I think GMs could look at that as a possible template for Chet and decide whether they want to deal with it or not. Ultimately, I think they would.

Well then, how about I light some fireworks in this thread? Because of his extension, OKC would have to take back about around 30 mil in salary in a SGA trade. So...

Wood, Gordon, and #3 for SGA.

OKC gets back-to-back picks, and the Rockets get a young star to pair with Green.

    SGA / Nix

    Green / Christopher

    KPJ / Mathews

    Tate / KMJ

    Sengun / Garuba

Also add the #17 pick in there somewhere.

    *ducks*

I don't know if SGA can be efficient as a pass first, score second guard. Should Houston commit to him with his long and expensive contract? I believe we need a big two way wing instead of SGA. I think he wants to be on a winning team, and we're far away from being one.

That's a good point. Many players are going the 60 game route Kawhi Leonard load management sched.

I'm saying Evan Mobley gave me concern at 218 pounds last season.....he has held up with exception of strained elbow and hip bruise I believe.

Chet would be giving up 18 pounds to Mobley and about 100 pounds to Embiid/Jokic/Valancunius/Adams and others coming up the pike.

He will definitely be targeted in the low post time and time again. Im saying GM's say they love him....
But when it's time to send the pick to the podium,
the top two teams may hesitate and go option B.
    Which is other than Chet.

No it doesn’t. Sga isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Stop with the mental hoops and making up silly assumptions. When you give sga a fresh max extension that in no ways shows they’re opening up to get rid of him. That makes no Sense. It’s not that difficult
