    All starters should be DNP.

IMO- First half only for all starters. They need to get that cohesion down and build a rhythm going into the playoffs. They have a big 3 or 4 day break before game 1 so it will be good to get them some PT.

However - Second half of the game, there is no reason to play the starters. Lets let D-Mo, Casspi, Hamilton, etc. get some burn, and maybe get a little more rhythm for players like Daniels, Covington, & Canaan to feel good about what they are doing going into the post season where they will be asked to improve dramatically for next year.

Either way, tiebreaker goes to them right? Although HA!, Miami and Indiana won their conference and divisions when Houston plays in the SW (4! playoff teams).

Impressive that the Rockets have a chance to beat the Heat in win totals, especially considering we're in a stacked West.

Are we also the only team in the L to sweep the Spurs?

Of course, all of this means nothing if we get bounced in the 1st round.

Pull a Popovich mid season move and don't even put Harden, Dwight, Bev, Parsons on the plane.

Call Canaan & Covington back up.

Run this starting lineup out there:

    Canaan
    Daniels
    Hamilton
    Covington
    D-Mo

Give 10 min max to Asik, Lin, Cisco, Jones. Run Casspi in the rotation.

Treat this game like the 4th NFL preseason game.

Dwight and Beverly can play 15 minutes or so to shake off any last bit of rust. Otherwise the last 5 off the bench should log at least 30 minutes each.

Someone will have to confirm this for me. I tried Googling it and came up with nothing. But I thought I read somewhere that the tiebreaker for teams in opposite conferences is the head-to-head matchup(which is a wash since the Rockets went 1-1 against both Miami and Indiana) and then their record against the other conference. If that's the case, the Rockets win that by virtue of dominating the East this year.

Again, I could be wrong about that, but I think that's how it breaks down.

    2. Beverly DNP - Knee
    3. Parsons DNP - Back

Play the starters about 20 minutes and have Mchale take a timeout and say... "I've seen enough !".

This team gives up Wednesday means they don't plan on playing in the Finals. And it will be probably against the HEAT. Secure home court against the HEAT or at least try to.

I know my opinion on this isn't going to be very popular, but I say treat this as a regular game, at least in the first half.

Rockets need to go into the playoffs on in a good rhythm, and I don't think struggling to pull out a game against the 2nd/3rd string spurs qualifies as being in a good rhythm.

Considering last time we went in there with an actual game plan and that resulted in a game we almost lost. Maybe it's better just to let our bench go in there and try to match up.

Dwight and Bev need some burn before the play offs after their long lay offs. That means Parsons and Harden will probably need to play some minutes so that it's a cohesive unit on the floor.

The Bench needs serious time to keep working on rhythm and hopefully to figure out for sure who we want to fill out those last spots in the play off rotations.

Hopefully they keep the Starting line up minutes to a reasonable number.
