You rest the starters. 55 wins has a nice ring to it, but it's utterly meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

thats a very super optimistic view buddy. i still prefer to rest the starters, as we gain more by having them fresh

With it all locked up you have to sit Harden, Parsons, Howard, and Bev. Harden and Parsons need the rest and there's no need to risk injury to Bev or Howard. Additionally, they both have played well since coming back without much rust.

Bev, Harden, Parsons and Dwight. No Rest.

TJ need a big game before the playoffs.

We can beat OKC. Probably about 60/40 in favor of the Thunder if we make it that far.

Rest Harden and Parsons. Howard and Beverley limited minutes. Everyone else normal minutes.

At most, play the starters for the 1st quarter. We don't have the luxury of worrying about the finals. We need to win round 1.

Definitely rest Harden and Parsons. I wouldn't mind seeing Howard and Beverley get a little time (no more than 15 minutes) to knock off more rust and get a better flow.

But I would really love our bench to play a lot and hopefully get some type of rhythm. That the goal for the Pelican game.

Certainly you are correct, but I hope Harden will play the 1st half so he can get his shooting rhythm going before going into the playoffs. Lin needs a good game too, as well as our bench.

I would rest Chandler, and play Covington/Hamilton instead. Jones should sit out too, and D-Mo/ Casspi should substitute for him. Sit out Dwight and Bev after the 1st half as well.

why risk a big injury for a meaningless game, that's not even at home, vs a lottery team? we just got our team healthy again. right before the playoffs, dont take that for granted. it aint worth it.

i never watch the vipers so i wanna know what we got brewing there

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the Eastern Conference Standings. Look, the Rockets are obviously not favored to reach the Finals, but in the event they do, why wouldn't we want home court advantage over the Heat or Pacers?

I'm hoping Miami loses their final game in Washington since the Wiz actually might have something to play for(depending on the tiebreakers). So the Rockets could theoretically lose in New Orleans and still maintain the tiebreaker over them. As for Indiana, obviously they still have to lose at Orlando even if the Rockets beat the Pelicans.

Here's how I'd handle it. Rest Harden and Parsons. They need it. Plug Jeremy Lin into the 2-guard spot in the starting lineup. The Rockets have done well in that situation this season. Start Bev and Dwight. They need to continue to get back into game shape with the playoffs right around the corner. And play everyone else(except for Cisco if his back is still sore).

The Heat and Pacers games are on the East Coast, so barring overtime, we should know the final scores around midway through the 3rd quarter of the Rockets game. At that point, McHale and the players can decide whether there's anything to play for and act accordingly. I do hope they don't just dismiss the importance of home court in the Finals though.

I didn't know the tie-breaking procedures, so I looked them up

    Currently
    HOU 54-27
    IND 55-26
    MIA 54-27

    Best Case
    HOU 55-27
    IND 55-27
    MIA 54-28

If Miami loses and we win, we would get HCA. However, if we finish with the same record as either of them, they get HCA since they won their divisions.

Are you sure? I thought the 2nd tiebreaker was conference records, not division.
