Well the guy that didn't get the QO had to sign a one year league minimum contract....so yeah, some are a LOT worse.
That was not the offer. It doesn't look like a great deal for DMO, but who cares, he signed it....not my problem...lets match and get to work. DD
Dmo would be a backup 5 all the way. No more covering 4s for him. If you look at the log jam at 4 and the fact that Dmo would not be playing ahead ofeven Wiltjer's superior 3 pt shot.. Also there's Dekker and of course Anderson ahead as well. It is what it is if he comes back.
I wouldn't match. I think a 4 year contract with 2 years guaranteed at $9M/year is way too much for damaged goods. Plus, I don't think he really fits MDA's system that well. Give more minutes to Dekker and Harrell, and find more depth closer to the deadline.
Easy decision - Rockets will match - why wouldn't they given they can cut him without penalty at the end of the season if he doesn't perform or get hurt.
Okay I think that DMo's contract is so horribly bad for him that you have to match it, but I can't be the only person wondering how he even fits on this team right now and if it's a wise decision to disrupt the chemistry. I want to see more Harrell and more Decker. The Rockets lose that game yesterday in my opinion without those two guys playing major minutes. Keep developing Capela, Decker, and Harrell. I'm torn.
i would match if only the 1st year is guaranteed and if he only replaces nene off the bench, because i still want harrell and dekker playing backup 4
Hey - in case you missed it - looks like the Rockets have been actually doing work from what I can tell in the last 23 hours
