Scrub? All-Defensive 1st-Team just a year ago, still a top defender, and has a better 3PT% than EG has had as a Rocket.

If we got him for virtually nothing, I would consider it.

Westbrook has been in the league 11 years and has shot below .300 from 3PT in 6 of those 11. His BEST 3PT% is below Harden's WORST. Yet he keeps on chucking them up there like he's Ray Allen.

His rebounding averages would drop substantially because we won't be standing aside to let him grab them so he can stat pad.

Honestly, the only thing he could bring to this team is effort, and he's too costly for that.

It's a crazy idea, but we have to take chances like what Toronto did last season. Surround Westbrook and Harden with shooters and defenders.

They already went all in with Chris Paul.... Why would OKC (or anybody) take on that contract?

The only way it works is essentially CP3-for-WB, which won’t interest OKC.

EG/CC can’t get it done, and we’re not trading Harden or Tucker.

OKC will want to break up his massive contract for younger players and/or expirings. Neither of which we can offer.

You trade for Westbrook and this team won’t get past the first round.

Play is for Rockets now to go after Siakam, Ibaka, or Gallinari to add to current roster including Capela. Not likely but we need to run it back adding a wing or stretch four.

Presti would absolutely take 4 first round draft picks for Westbrook.

    Swing for the fences Morey.

If there’s anyone who can make salaries work, it’s Morey.

Westbrook might want to play with James and I can see OKC grant him that wish

I’m not a capolgist by any means, but unless I’m missing something, I’m having a hard time envisioning the financials of your proposal working.

This will never happen but one way it could work is to resign Nene and Shumpert to S&T type deals but not trade them until 12/15. That gives the Lakers roster the time to ripen. Lakers get CP3, Toronto gets Westbrook, we get Kuzma, Lowry and Gallinari, Grant, Noel and OKC gets Danny Green plus the scraps and another ridiculous haul of picks from us mostly and Toronto. It would also give them the ability to dump salary off onto our TPE with Noel and maybe other players into separate slots if they didn’t want Lakers droll.

This is a crude attempt but some trade that uses our trash, picks, and sends CP3 to LBJ and then uses Westbrook going elsewhere to get us what we want even using Wash for Beal and get more from OKC.
