What do you mean? OKC has been shopping Adams since the offseason began and the Rockets have obviously been shopping Capela. OKC does this deal because they acquire another asset in Capela(whom they could presumably flip for yet another first) and a potential other first from HOU. The rockets do this deal because cp3’s contract/ production is probably the worst contract in the league and you also get one of James’ closest friends balling with him on the same team. Why would Russ chase James out the door? If James can’t make it work with Westbrook or vice versa then it is what it is but damn the clippers are better than us right now and it isn’t even close. At least gives our team an identity and won’t be giving up all those ******* OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS that have been killing us for years. If I’m in the minority then so be it but at this stage in their careers I’m taking Westbrook over CP3 all day every day and I’m also taking Adams over capela because I know Adams isn’t going to get freakin manhandled by draymond green or kevon looney!

i'd do a CP for westbrick. he ain't a winner by himself, but if he plays with Harden it's gonna be a diff story. they are more mature now.

I don't see the thunder trading Westbrook because then they are the hornets or grizzlies. I can see them trading all these picks, Gallo, Adams FOR another star just to stay relevant. Kevin love comes to mind since he's best friends with Westbrook. not a bad trade for them actually if you can send Schroeder and a first to the Cavs, then grant and Patterson to a team with cap space like the hawks with another first or two. they would lower their tax bill and the Cavs tax bill while acquiring Kevin love.

I thought Presti would likely trade all those picks for another star like KLove to play alongside Westbrook but now their beat reporter is saying Presti is exploring trade options for Westbrook so I think he'll be gone before tomorrow.

Presti has a long history of executing trades quickly. If Tilman wants Westbrook, we'll probably know before Monday.

 

Can't think of a player I'd want less on our team than Westbrook

he's healthier and younger than Paul
but a low bbal IQ and inefficient , and has not shown a willingness to change his game

I mean this with complete honesty, I would rather trade Harden and start over than trade anything for Westbrook.

We would legitimately be a laughing stock around the league, and watching his brand of stupid inefficient chucker ball would give me Francis PTSD. Chris Paul, even the declining version, makes his teammates better and plays smart. Westbrook is 31 and entirely dependent on his physical tools because he is a very, very stupid player.
