Don't understand why people complain about David Lee's lack of defense... as opposed to who? Carl Landry? Luis Scola?

Lee grabs over 11 rebounds per game. He is an offensive glass cleaner. He can score from the post or with his mid range game.

He actually is a lot like Scola in that he isn't extremely gifted vertically, but has an uncanny knack for being around the basket and working hard to get into position.

On top of all that, he can easily go left or right AND he even handles the ball from time to time.

I'd love to have him here.

We can only go after Lee if we loose Scola... and Lee will be more expensive than Scola (I expect Scola to sign in the 6-8 million range, Lee will be in the 8-10 million range).

But I´d love to have him here. He is a monster on the boards and is really developing into a great scorer. But I don`t really see it. We either ship Scola and someone else for Bosh (probably too good to be true), or we stay with Scola and try to compete with the lottery pick and a healthy Yao.

Like BimaThug said financially, it would not make sense to aquire David Lee, but like other posters said, such as Moe and Carl, basketball wise, it would make perfect sense.

His defense is underrated because he plays for Mr. Pringles and his offensive game is on par with Luis Scola. He is basically a white and more athelitic Luis Scola minus the scoop and hoop.

His game would compliment Yao greatly and he would make the opposition pay for doubling Yao.

I would make him start over Scola, but if we can bring up a S&T with New York along with a 3rd team to get the capspace and everything right, I'm all for it.

I like Lee on the Knicks but i'm not sure how he compares on a team like the Rockets.

I think if we can get Bosh or Amare over Lee that would be MUCH better.

Even if we do convince David Lee and NY to do a sign and trade, who do you want to give up? NY opened up all that cap space to sign 2 max free agents. I doubt that they they an injured Yao Ming that hasn't recovered from surgery yet..

i don't know in one way it would be nice because then we can give yao a rest more often then not sooo he doesn't get injured again and if he does get injured then we have a VERY GOOD BACK UP but i would rather have a allstar in a nother position then a place were we allready have one......chuck hays is a very desently good center sooo the rockets have stared hayas for an entier season but Hayes isn't good enough to be a back up to yao ming?????? i think thats pretty stooped but whatever

    aaron brooks
    kevin martin
    luis scola
    trevoir ariza
    yao ming

that sends like a very good starting linup not inglooding kyle lowery watch we need a lot and chase battiey all really good benchers.... i think we need a good back up for kevin really BAD and if we do, Ariza would be able to stay in the small ford pozition and hes gone from 11th in the nba to the 7th in the nba for steals in just a few games we need him to be in that pozitionthat hes good at and does not get frastated like the 2guard sooo we need a nother 2guard that VERY desnet

I don't think so either. Is he really as good as his numbers show? Or is he a product of being a decent player on a really bad team and benefiting from Mike D.'s crazy offensive system?
