I am confused. Didn't you start a thread in the Rockets forum telling us all offseason talk and moves had to be discussed in that thread?

And now we are chatting potential pf's for the Rockets in the NBA Dish?

And I choose C. None of the above.

Boozer is a definite no as DM is probably going to target a younger PF to grow with the rest of the team and Amare is not coming to Houston. He likes Miami.

Amare has been a beast the last two months.. Go look at his game logs.. PLenty of 30 pts 12+ rebs games and a few 40 pt games with 15+ rebounds .. He's been the best power foward in the league the last two months..

Im assumed we were gona keep scola and that we were picking up a powerfoward to add depth.

an egomaniac who will demand a max contract regardless of a team's financial situation?

You don't add a 20-10 young player who's going to ask for a ton of money to add depth.

Seriously? Man, I'm continually amazed at how underrated David Lee is to most ppl. The guy is averaging 20/11, plus 3.5 assists and a steal a game; in contrast, Scola is 15/9, 2 assists, and .7 steals.

You'd think that after Lee put up 27 points and 20 rebounds against the Rox, ppl would start to realize that he's more than just a Scola

Realisticly were not going to pay bosh, amare or boozer to come to the rockets because we dont have the money to do it, in the other hand david lee is not gona ask for that type of money covering the lack of scoring hole that we have in the back up 5, for all i care scola and lee can play their butts of for a starting position, this will also allow us to play yao limited minutes, this move would really make us a serious contender.

He will ask for far more than Scola will. We are not paying a premium for a player like Lee when Scola is close to his production for perhaps half of what Lee will end up getting.

LOL only if you don't take into account his D and the Nash effect. I'd rather have Scola at <10M than Amare at the max any day.

The Rockets would have to do a sign and trade to get any player making more than MLE money. That includes Bosh, Amare, Boozer, and Lee. Given that the Knicks won't want to take back any salary in a trade because it would prevent them from signing two max free agents, they are not going to do a sign and trade for Lee. That means that, as unrealistic as they are, Bosh, Amare, and Boozer are perhaps more realistic than Lee.

    Lee is under contract for a year and is a free agent in the summer all im saying is that he is cheaper, im not against picking up bosh but it we fail to i wouldnt go for boozer or amare when i could get the same production from lee and i would hate to see that we have just about the same team at the start of next season without at least one GOOD addition im also not against picking up camby but i would really like to see the rox pick up another player that can put the ball in the hole consistently.;

A free agent that will want more than the MLE, so you still don't get around a sign and trade with NY.

So a block a night isn't defense? Too many haters on clutchfans. He's a near double-double. 22.8pts 8.8rebs a game on many nights scoring well over 30+ a game. Shoots a good percentage from the freethrow line while shooting 7.8 a game.
Nobody talks about his defense because he's a big man. In fact he's good for a big man. He's just not Hakeem good(and if you're looking for Hakeem you must be in the wrong century because we aren't going to get a "Hakeem" in the near future with limited space to change the front court without losing a vital piece). If he's getting at least a block a night how many other shots is he changing? ...look at Jordan Hill, almost no blocks and he changes many shots.

    It would be a great combo. Finesse(Yao) + Strength(Amare).
Lol at the ones who choose Boozer and wouldn't want Amare.

i would only do that for bosh, amare is too much of a risk, and i wouldnt give any of out assets to jazz for boozer, lee i would straight up offer him 6-8 mil to see if he bites since were almost a contender to win it all next year that might lure him in, even if we go into the luxury tax ill would take the risk.

    neither..

stoudemire lacks defense and consitstent intensity

boozer is jus another undersized PF hes EASILY taken out of a game by longer players.. Lamar freakin Odom shuts him down lol
