Put it this way; there's 29 other teams who would love too

Would you pay $200 million for something defective and fraudulent?

    I agree.

But just play the devil's advocate, what if Harden turns out to be the one thing we constantly have to focus on till 2024? Look at how much attention he is getting right now after the debacle.

Only the super teams will win anything in the NBA. If you don't have a super team then you have to overpay your players, that's just the way it works broseph. We can't all be Golden State or Cleveland, so we have to pay the troll toll to lock down Harden.

BOOOM. Smoke a blunt sometime SOON.

even if it happens, then for every other team its a race to be asterisk champs. you really want that? everyone thinks we already have 2 of those. gsw has 1.

Here is the thing. . . . For better or worse. . . Dwight does not come here without Harden
    Meaning . .. No star will JUST pick the Rockets . . . .

    We don't lock him up . . . . Then what
Let's say he is what everyone says he is .. . so now we have a pouty child star and he might demand a trade
What do we get for that?

It is easier to pick up a second star to go with Harden . . . .than it is to trade him and find 2~3 Stars

I DON'T CARE WHO YOU GET A ONE STAR TEAM WILL NOT GET US WHERE WE WANT TO GO

Basically what you say is some draft better than others. We might have a couple of good draft day deals than actual drafts.

It is such a pessimistic view on the most fundamental way to get young players on a good contract.

Capela and Dekker are too nice of a person to be called enforcers. You need specialists.

Not true at all, we owned the bulls and i have no doubt in my mind we would have beaten them in the finals. A win is a win.

Those years were lived via trying to compete with mediocre rosters and getting 8th seed or 14th pick. If you trade Harden, you could do it for a top pick in this years draft AND probably 2 more lottery picks of the past couple of drafts from LA or Boston. So..you wouldn't be reliving the mediocrity treadmill as you would already be in full rebuild mode with young studs and just sit back and watch them grow and build around them.

That said, yeah, i mean...this is a stars league. Harden is a superstar. No guarantee that any lottery pick will be a star unless his name is Karl Anthony Towns. Gotta keep him till he demands his trade to LA or just walks to LA eventually.

Harden comes short in the PlayOffs every single season even in the Rockets best Post Season, it was Jones, Smith and Brewer that brought the Rockets back against the Clippers while Harden gave up on the sidelines only to commit unnatural volume turnovers.. I think Harden needs a Gordon Hayward or Paul George star sidekick to drive up his competitive spirits and give the Rockets another go to guy if needed.

How is this even a question.... he is maybe the top 3 player on the planet....... and he is still growing....... you try to sign him to a contract that expires when he is 40 if you could

Don't give up on Harden, adjust until it works. He's an amazing talent.

He's the guy that can close a game out and hit the big shot. He just needs help keeping the score close.

I don't know much about art but whoever made that piece down there is or will somehow get paid. That's a Modern Picasso.

his fg% for htat clippers series was .398% basicaly 40%. before the last 2 games of the series, he was shooting good at 45%, then b2b abysmal shooting games putting up 20 shots in both, making 5 in one game and 7 in the closeout game. he did have a ton of fts in those 2 games though, abusing the rulebook as usual

his 3pt efficinacy also wasnt thta good, at just 35%. 5tos for 25/8 averages is bad.

he's not an efficient scorer or playmaker int he po's. he's had enough help tha the can do better. not ultra steve nash efficient but much better than this crap. helps support my claim on him not being a superstar, but a top 3 all star
