After you've gone through a whole regular season on this board, you'll find that every concievable Rox topic will be beaten into the ground thrice over with the same back and forth arguments. Some posters keep going back to the same topics and other posters that don't come to the board everyday will bring stuff up that has been previously dismantled. That's just how it is.

Remember when he played with a migrane even though the season was pretty much lost? If you ever had a migrane you would know, it's painfull to do just about anything. He never gave up on the Rockets, he played with heart while wearing a Rockets jersey, so he probably deserves at least a round of applause.

And which i am sure he will get when he was here. Just cause he didn't fit the system doesn't mean he didn't play his heart out when he was a Rocket. Thats the sign of a dedicated player.

Yes we hated the mistakes he made, but i am sorry the guy played hard each night. For that he deserves an applause.

Some will stand give him an applause, some will sit and give him an applause, some will give a "golf clap (yawn)"...others will do nothing and a few will "boo."

Don't worry...he'll get his "appreciation." Just be careful. He'll try and have his "best" game against us when the game starts.

    Tractor Traylor for Dirk Nowitzki.

    Now that was lopsided.

Truly, it is all relative; it depends what you are comparing to. Plus, I think there is a contemporary preference for flash over substance, a one-on-one, break down you man, streetball style basketball. Surely, people notice that most winning teams don't play that way. Anyway, after several games people will begin to notice the difference. Like you, I can hardly wait. :)

Off topic, but this is a more lopsided trade than the "SF3 & boys"/"Tmac et al deal"

On June 9, 1980, the Celtics acquired two-thirds of their Big Three in one deal. In a blockbuster trade with Golden State, Boston received center Robert Parish and the No. 3 pick in the 1980 draft, which they used to select forward Kevin McHale. In return, the Warriors received the No. 1 pick in the draft, which they used to take center Joe Barry Carroll, and the No. 13 choice, which they used on guard Rickey Brown.

Parish and McHale teamed with Larry Bird to form one of the best frontlines in NBA history. Both were named to the list of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players, and Boston won three championships and reached five NBA Finals during their careers in Beantown.

On the oher hand, Carroll played 6½ seasons with the Warriors and averaged more than 20 points in four of those seasons, including a career-high 24.1 in 1982-83. However, Golden State reached the playoffs only once with Carroll in the middle. Brown played just five NBA seasons and never averaged more than six points per game.
