I think at the start when they set the Culture, the Rockets were building around Ime Udoka, as strangely as that sounded,......

Beginning now to understand what they need of a Numero Uno and a defensive Identity.

agree. How do you feel with Reed / Edwards backcourt?

obviously means losing either jabari and Tari or Amen

It is not clear unless it is clear.

Edwards is too much of a loner though....he is a Top 5 talent right now.

Also Edwards is going to develop as a playmaker himself, so he is not done either.......is he leaving enough room for Reed's game.....because right now Reed sort of is going the Maxey plus Curry shooting now.

The Reed thing is very fresh, so you have to monitor, if you go the Curry way, or the Brunson way, or the SGA way....

If you go the SGA or Curry way.....it is dangerous as GSW and OKC have done it better.

    1. As of now, the safest is still to have Baby Joker do it and have him not play for the National team.
    2. And foster either Reed or Amen as the 2nd Option.
    3. Durant, depending on if he wins the Chip, can stay a few years. He is more valuable to guys like Reed and Jabari, as a mentor but he has to take a much deeper paycut.

What about Austin Reaves and Reed Sheppard, they look like the Jonas Brothers.

    Checkmate.

Dude really said his play this year only removes him from being a bust. Really? That's it.

We build around Ime. Period. Reed will have a great career. I'd love to see him stay a Rocket.

I don't know if he has the two way potential. Sengun has been the starting C of a top 10 defense for hhis third straight season now plus he's an offensive hub. Amen is a two way player who's jumper is improving.

Reed probably has to get 25 points, 10 assists and a lot more muscle to match that impact. I'm not saying it's impossible but give the guy a break. Too early to put the kind of expectation on him.

There is no evaluation with Reed Sheppard.
    He isn't going anywhere.

Reed Sheppard numbers across the board is Elite. Just a solid shooter, great form, he always knocked down shots in practice, confidence was a problem along with Ime constantly benching Reed.

Well, here’s how I would build a team for Reed:

    1. Get a center that can post up and pass it back out to Reed - check, Sengun
    2. Get a shooting guard that can drive and kick to Reed, but as importantly help alleviate pressure as a secondary PG - check, Amen
    3. Get a wing that can space the floor and take pressure off Reed - check, Durant
    4. Get a power forward that can screen, pick and pop, to free Reed - check, Jabari

Therefore, I’m not sure which team out there would fit Reed better over the Rockets. He’s got the keys to be the team’s starting PG, creating plays with the green light to shoot. There’s nothing holding him back here that would prevent him from reaching his potential.

Ime has been too hard on Reed, but I think it has made him a better player. I think KD took Thanksgiving off just to force Reed into starter minutes because he knows how much of a grumpy bear Ime is.

Probably should see how the season and post season plays out before naming Reed the non ironic franchise player moniker.
