Just make sure that you pick the right person to blame it on, don't let him destroy any government agencies, and check out the evidence you are going to use to pin it to him.

The media will make a circus out of it. Everyone knows that. People will come to protest. You can say "just ignore it" but millions of new yorkers will and can not. It might be easy for you, but this rat has no business anywhere near ground zero and if you let him visit, it will spew up so much emotional anger - he wants to hurt us. He knows visiting the site will cause people pain.

It might not cause you pain, but have some respect for those that it would. He's nothing to America, why do you want to let him torture us? This is a game to him. Just say no and it's over. Why give him pleasure?

Oh my goodness! I am becoming Deckardized. ;) I agree again, although not 100%. I agree with permitting this sleazoid to walk unescorted anywhere in the countryside if he chooses. Of course, that would never happen. I do not agree with granting diplomatic relations.

D&D. Eat peaches with Bush. Failing that, eat Bush with peaches.

I would say yes because any efforts to humanize yourself to your enemies makes it less likely that they will do violence against you. (That's why in a war you put up 'The Huns Eat Babies' posters , to dehumanize them). I don't know what it looks like there now, whether there is still any emotional impact of being at the 'place' though. If he went and made a statement about empathy, understanding and peace it could be a counter to this weeks saber rattling rhetoric.

But also, it would be a logistical nightmare that would breed animosity among New Yorkers. There would protests, outcries, traffic jams....ugly.

    Hence I voted not sure.

i dont trust his motives. hes probably planning on using the visit as a political statement of some kind.

if we say no we look like jerks...

if we say yes and an incident occurs, he can use that for his own political gain...

i think we could use his visit for our own ends though...

maybe have a camera crew following him around so we can catch him eating pork or drinking alcohol... :p

if he has good motives then i think he should be allowed to visit. otherwise, HELL NO.

well, I don't think Jorge Bush should be allowed to visit the vatican; but that is not stopping him :( As for Condolencia Rice, her visit was rejected

back to the subject, I don't see anything wrong with letting the Iraninan president visit ground zero. How soon do people forget that the terrorist, manuel noriega, was able to travel the U.S in the mid 80's, at the expense of the U.S.

I find your attacks on my race uncivilized. You can call me a liar and disparage my character, and call me a fool, but to attack my race and say I claimed something I wasn't is total B.S. and highly offensive and insulting. I never lied about my race, and I'd never do that. Someone questioned my heritage and I played with them and then you come out and claim I lied about my race. You moron. You half-witted donkey. Know when people are being a-holes and when someone is going to f*** with them for it.

That my friend makes you a major prick and I love how you insult me and in the same sentence claim you don't. At least be a man, or at least be an animal and own up to it - the worst slime is the type that tries to pass it off as being noble. I have more respect for guys like Batman Jones and MacGreat than your spineless a**.

Now go away and hang out with your chum in Iran.

like you said . . i don't fully understand our stance against Cuba

you can never a person . . until you reach out to them

    NewYorker
QUESTION: By treating him as such . . are you now taking the role of the Xenophobe?

I will quote what gifford put in his post since you have him on ignore.

Now it is funny that you talk about not owning up to something. You can call me all the names you want which you just did. I don't care. I'm glad you have more respect for batman Jones. He deserves it.

But as for your lack of respect for me, I could care less. Your opinion can't even be trusted as being really yours, so how could I take anything you say seriously. I'll debate with you all day on whatever topic you wish, and you can pick whichever side you want, but you can't carry on like you have and expect anyone to take you seriously.

Like I said, nothing I did was an attack, but it all came from what you said and did.

Because you went back and tried to claim like you weren't lying about your race by calling it acting or a joke or whatever doesn't change what is transparent for all to see.

By the way I didn't attack your race. I don't even know what your race is, and if I did it wouldn't matter because I wouldn't attack it. Your race isn't responsible for the way you conduct yourself on the bbs.

Hmm ... this poll asks whether to "Let the xenophobic fool visit ground zero ..."

Let's set aside for a moment whether xenophobia is good, bad, or neutral (another way of saying "it depends"), isn't this basically a poll made by a xenophobic on another xenophobic (*assume* the Iranian President is indeed a xenophobic)? LOL

I'll be blunt. If someone is tortured by this guy visiting Ground Zero, I can't "respect" that. Protest if the guys who were actually behind the attacks wanted to visit. Iran is a different political enemy, in a different battle. You want to put everything in the context of this "War on Terror," like Mr. Bush. I have zero respect for that kind of thinking.

iran had nothing to do with 9/11.

saudi arabia and pakistan on the other hand, did, and they are our "allies". would a saudi prince be allowed to visit ground zero?
