Should the alternate jersey layout be the same for home and away jerseys?

Had a long conversation with a buddy about our current jerseys and how horrible they are. Those photoshopped alternatives look great.

BTW, from what I remember reading/hearing, the NBA did not allow us to have "Houston" on front of the jersey nor did they allow us to have a black alternate jersey.

 

I just did, and I think if everyone does the same thing, the right people will at least get a chance to take a look at Colovelo's modifications.

I think the black jersey is a bit much right now though, they just spent money on new alternates (that most like) last season. Don't see them tossing that out after one season.

The point is to modify the uniforms the team regularly wears, that are a complete eye sore.

My thoughts exactly, I love the color black, but it would be a backwards move for the Rockets given how many teams rock, black and red colors.

 

Why can't we have "Houston" written? Cleveland is written on the Cav's jersey's, New York is written on the Knicks.

Is it because because we can't have "Rockets" on the home jersey AND "Houston" on the away jersey? If that's the case, what's the reasoning??

 

I think EVERYBODY here should SUMBIT those pictures ...

and request for a Jersey change!!!!

 

Not sure what the reasoning was but I do know we originally submitted our current jersey with "Houston" on the front but it got denied. Our black alternate jersey got denied because the NBA said there were too many black alternates already.

Those are the best Rocket jerseys I've ever seen. I would buy a home and away if it were possible.

no they did not, its photoshopped..

 

The Rockets jerseys are terrible. It seems there playing off Yao and China which is too gimmicky. The fonts and overall layout looks like something you would find on the side of a rice box at a Chinese takeout.



Nothing against China...but the current jerseys are the front runner for ugliest in the NBA.

I would buy that Red and Grey...nice!
