What did Yates do that was so special in the playoffs? The Texans won in spite of him, not because of him.

    Vs. Bengals
    11/20
    159 Yards
    1 TD

    vs Ravens
    17/35
    184 Yards
    3 Int

schaub is filler, this system can make an average talent qb with 2 arms and 2 legs put up meaningless stats..

schaub is a compiler, he puts up huge stats in streaks against bad competition.. then when real defenses shut down the system that makes schaub go, people say "look at his stats."

trade for matt flynn or kirk cousins. flynn is from Tyler, TX and with wilson going nuts is probably very available.

It doesn't you #@#$%!!, I just means that fact might help facilitate a trade if he wants to play close to home. His stats as Rodgers backup and his LSU career show he could be a great QB.

this season? no, its too late.

but still what good are solutions, kubiak will stick with schaub. An elite future HOF QB fell in our lap. we dismissed the idea, and didnt even attempt to kick the tires. then turned around and extended schaub..

It's too hard to find an available QB that is better than Schaub much less one that is better and can learn the system in a year. I've never been a fan of bringing in a capable WR2, we have to pick our weaknesses, every team has to in this era and WR2 isn't a bad one to live with. But...

One thing has been obvious to me. Good WR's like Johnson and Daniels make Schaub better. He doesn't make WR's better like elite QB's do, but good WR's make things easier on him. Let's get a him a WR2, another great route runner since Schaub is so hesitant to thread tight passes. If we do that I think our offense will hit another level. Well, we've got to fix the line too.

did you actually watch, he choked against the ravens late, that's fine, our overpaid slightly above guy does the same.

pedestrain stats against the bengals yes, but he played well. what's that rating?

Lets just play our stronger armed kid with the bigger nuts who is also a better runner and let him get some exp before going into the playoffs

i was listening to andre on the radio and he was pissed and rightfully so when yates got sacked. like why does pubes want him out there trying to win now?

i like pubes, that was too easy

You want the #1 seed in the division to BENCH their starting quarterback with 1 week left in the season for a 2nd year player who makes a ton of mistakes?

    Brilliant

maturity is telling you this is gonna get ugly because there are very few posters who's mere presence irks the crap out of me and you are one.

you can't follow an argument, you're a young spoiled brat who thinks you have the world figured out, and you're just plain out of your league debating me.

    please don't respond

    Typical armchair/message board garbage here.

We lose one game (granted an important game and a terrible loss) and all of a sudden Schaub is a bum. That was probably the worst game of his career yesterday, but the guy has one thing that is hard to replace at the QB position -- great decision-making. He was clearly off yesterday but ordinarily he knows where to go with the ball.

I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a guy in the 2nd or 3rd round to groom, but right now Matt Schaub is our best shot at a Super Bowl.
