I believe it was 2 seasons ago, and I remember it being after the buzzer.

I saw it, and the comment was about the Thread, in general, not your Post. Sorry, did not mean anything demeaning to you.

    Maurice Taylor and Juwan Howard

So what¡¦s Taylor¡¦s role on the team now? Obviously, with Juwan Howard starting at the power forward spot, Taylor is going to remain as the team¡¦s sixth man. He flourished in the role last season, and if he can continue to bring that instant offense off the bench he will serve the team well. It does leave Clarence Weatherspoon basically down at the far end of the bench . . .or on the ¡§injured¡¨ list, but Weatherspoon will come in handy if Taylor or Howard wind up getting hurt somewhere down the line. Taylor doesn¡¦t rebound well enough or play good enough defense to start, but if he can come in with the primary role of scoring, he should do all right.

Some will likely argue that Howard is not much better than Taylor when it comes to defense and rebounding. There is some legitimacy to that argument, but under Van Gundy I expect to see better play from Howard. He is a better rebounder than Mo historically, more than capable of grabbing eight boards a night, and their defense is about even. In other words, Yao is going to have to cover for both of them. If Yao can get his help side defense in gear this season it will help the low post defensive scheme out tremendously. You can count on Howard being our starter, though. You can¡¦t teach an old dog new tricks.
