I get that the Rockets might be a tiny bit better with him, but he would take minutes away from players we need to be developing. True, we don't really develop players, but DeRozan would just be another huge temptation for Udoka. As soon as Tari made a boneheaded play or Reed got blown by, Ime would haul Demar's aging ass off the bench...
With KD signing and keeping FVV, I hardly think the Rockets are in developing mode right now. It's a win-now mentality. I think the management believes that with healthy FVV, Adams, and others, the team can go deep.
If we can't get Kyrie or Dejounte Murray, I would sign Derozan for the vet minimum...our offense sucks anyways might as well get another bucket-getter when they've trapping/doubling KD. Can't really trust Sengun's offense so let's get more help in that area Sengun/Adams/Capela Jabari/Tari KD/Bogdonavic Derozan/Reed Amen/Smart/FVV/Thornton Let's try to compete this year with this roster before we potentially get 2 lottery picks next draft...we need to see what our young core can do with a solid supporting cast before breaking it up
